Since March we have visited three times. My wife and I are often in the Formia area. Our first time at this restaurant was in March when my friend took us for dinner. Eventually we came two additional times, the last time was in June when we were in Italy for a wedding. The restaurant is big with tables inside and outside. The interior spaces are air conditioned and very welcoming. I like the fact that the restaurant does not give an air of stuffiness. Their dishes, mostly fish, are well prepared and the service is great. Their specialty is "baccala'" a dried and slated white fish that is imported from Northern Europe. Baccala' has long been a staple for poor families and has now become a go to fish just to remember times past. I particularly love how, upon request, they provide a medley of seafood-based antipasto. All the dishes we tired were exquisite. We always asked for the house wine, and we never regretted it. The prices are very reasonable. We will be back next time we find ourselves in Formia. The access to the restaurant is very easy, and there is plenty of parking.
Conoscevo già il K2 e l'ho trovato invariato dopo diversi anni. La location un po' datata ma accogliente, sia la sala interna che quella esterna, in due serate diverse abbiamo trovato una cameriera un po' scorbutica e un altra, giovanissima, molto cortese e disponibile. I piatti sanno di casereccio così come l'ambiente abbiamo trovato ottimi gli gnocchi ai frutti di mare e gli spaghetti con le cozze, un po' meno le linguine alla Formiana ma così come per alcuni piatti di baccalà loro specialità, magari dipende dal modo diverso con cui vengono cucinati. Nel complesso si mangia bene, un bel vinello bianco frizzante alla spina accompagna i pasti che si possono concludere con un buon dolce di raffinata pasticceria, il tutto a prezzi contenuti. Nota: il locale è pieno di divieti, giusti per clienti "poco educati" tuttavia dovrebbero vietare anche di far sedere i cani sulle sedie destinate ai commensali, non a tutti piace alzarsi con gonne o pantaloni pieni di peli.
