What an awesome place !! We were travelling from London and were not sure where to eat Indian, google showed some awesome reviews so we took a chance, staff here is exceptional and will really take care of you. Owner himself is very polite and ensured we get an excellent meal. We recommend this place for nice lavish dine in or take away Indian dinner.

Quiet place with typical Indian food near the station. The staff are very friendly as usual, very helpful. Everything we ordered, very delicious and the portions, typical of Indian restaurants, generous casseroles. Advisable!

We reached Pisa after 2 weeks of eating delicious Italian food during tour of Northern Italy. And Gandhi restaurant was a welcome change. We liked it so much we went back for a second visit. The visits were on a weekday & we were seated promptly. Pretty soon the place got very busy. But the service was polite, prompt, unobtrusive and unfailingly courteous. As we sat down, they brought out the mandatory papads (“papadums”) with a mint chutney, imli (tamarind) chutney & a small serving of “panchranga” (5-ingredient) achaar (Indian pickles). The main course soon followed. We had mutton do-piyaza & baingan (eggplant) bharta accompanied with Tandoori Roti. Unlike in USA, entrees are not served with rice. That has to be ordered separately. The eggplant (“aubergine”) dish was delicious. The curry of lamb do-piazza had the right combination of spices to give us the precise balance of flavor & heat. We returned the next day. Service was exemplary. We sampled the onion bhaji—it was crisp and fresh off the fryer! Their seekh kebab were moist & flavorful. And the Peshawri Chana a gustatory delight! If we ever come back to Pisa, will definitely stop there!
