A simple but welcoming place, with kind and helpful staff who found us a table right away, even without a reservation.... Perfectly cooked, crispy pizza with quality ingredients. Unbeatable price. Compliments to all the staff!

A wonderful surprise. We arrived without a reservation and found a spot quickly. The pizza was thin and crispy, with good variations, and the fried foods were delicious. The prices were also good. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Portions are for no less than two people. So, to better enjoy the pasta dishes and pizza, it's best to go with company. Over time, the quality hasn't dropped (as many other places have). Well done!

I had to make a good impression with some friends? I made a great impression....the pizza was plentiful and excellent, with 4 flavors....the scampi risotto was perfectly cooked, the flavor was excellent, the appetizers were plentiful, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was obviously very crowded even on a Tuesday, but it was nice....I highly recommend it. The only downside? The evening ended too quickly.

Everything was good, the best dish was the seafood risotto and carasao bread, but the mussels were very salty and the scampi cream wasn't the best.

The place is informal and makes for a pleasant evening, despite the very high attendance practically any day of the week. I found the service very attentive and courteous, unlike what I read in other reviews. Overall, I find some dishes to be good, while others are perhaps a little less so. The appetizer with carasau bread was very good; I'd say it was surprising and perhaps the best thing we tasted. The mussels were cooked quite well, but we weren't entirely satisfied with the spaghetti with clams, which actually contained almost exclusively empty clams 😅 we expected a little more. The "huge portions to share" option might seem convenient, but in the end, you'll end up spending more or less the same as at a regular seafood restaurant. The difference, as always, is the bottle of wine. You have to know how to budget.

Essenza Wine Bar

04/08/2025: This wine bar is something special. Time stands still here, and you'll lose yourself in it :) It's not for a quick visit, as the selection is very extensive and the wines are very good. The food is also excellent. The service is friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about wine. Overall, the bar is always worth a visit.
28/07/2025: Lovely and comfortable place in Trastever, far from all the tourist places full a people queuing for a normal dish of pasta or pizza. This place is original, familiar and the couple managing it are so nice and give you all the recomendations needed for having a good experience. Many wines or cocktails to choose. Thank you so much for the experience.

Ristorante La Foresta

09/08/2025: We ate at Ristorante La Foresta in March 2025. It is now August, and I still remember the fabulous meal. We were staying in a nearby B&B on a Monday night, and this was the only restaurant open in the area. We were very hungry and wanted to eat as early as possible. I checked to make sure that 7:30 pm was ok (because it is on the early side for Italy) and also asked if we could be very casually dressed in such an elegant place. We were warmly welcomed by the host. We later found out that this is a favorite place for hikers of the Via Sacre close by. Everything was delicious, but what I especially remember is the Pavlova all'Arancia. It was exquisite both in presentation and taste, especially the candied orange. The service was superb despite our lack of Italian. Our waiter was extremely patient and solicitous. Can't wait to go back. It's worth a special trip.
03/08/2025: We chose La Foresta as our wedding venue! I have to say, everything was amazing, from the food to the organization, all under the supervision and kindness of Antonella! The value for money is excellent! The sunset aperitif and the after-dinner drinks with the lights by the pool were stunning! If you're looking for a venue with top-quality food in a magical setting, this is the place! Thanks again for everything!!
