19/08/2025: A quality restaurant nestled in the heart of one of the most beautiful towns in Cilento, Castellabate.
Local products and raw materials in general treated with respect and cooked to perfection.
The raw fish was phenomenal, the fish was incredibly fresh.
The first courses were also exceptional, such as the spaghetti with clams and lemon, an explosion of flavor.
The ravioli alla Luciano were also delicious, a must.
The scialatielli were excellent.
I noticed the chef's skill, especially in cooking the freshly caught fish. In fact, we tried a grilled sea bream, which many people overcook, drying it out and making the meat too dry. Ours, however, was moist and perfectly tender.
The house Fiano was good.
The desserts were excellent.
The staff were friendly, kind, and knowledgeable.
The owner was very elegant, helpful, and attentive.
In short, we had a truly wonderful time; we truly enjoyed the dinner and it was a good value.
We will definitely be back.
19/08/2025: We've been customers for many years, and this is our first time back since Luciano's departure (his daughter is now at the helm). The location is quaint and captivating, right in the historic center. Tables are in the piazza and inside, with a pleasant table setting. The staff, even when busy with serving full tables, are efficient (even without a reservation, they try to accommodate the customer). The food is served promptly. Good-quality products with a varied menu of land and sea dishes; the desserts and bread are good. We recommend asking the staff for clarification on the menu for any variations that may occur (e.g., fried food may vary, but squid may be available instead of calamari). In the scialatielli, Taggiasca olives and eggplant are mixed into the sauce, but it doesn't detract from the flavor of the dish. The linguina dell'isola is EXCELLENT for its taste and flavor, where the hint of lemon enhances the abundant clams on the plate (recommended). The weight has been improved compared to before. The revisited crocche' are also good.
