I went for lunch today with my wife.
The location was very beautiful and elegant, and they kindly showed us our table.
From the menu, we're interested in trying a savory strudel and a knife-cut tartare as an appetizer.
As a lover of risotto, I'm drawn to the option with porcini mushrooms and Trentino sausage.
I ask to have it only with porcini mushrooms; no problem, the host tells me!
I also ask for still water and a glass of Chianti.
Especially enthusiastic about the tartare, I warmly compliment the staff and eagerly await our risotto.
Given that I went to school to learn how to make decent risotto and always achieve decent results when I try for friends and family, I'm astonished when the two dishes land on our table.
The rice is flattened and in broth, not even remotely "all'onda," with lots of sausage (which I had asked to be removed), and a few measly pieces of porcini mushrooms visible.
Poorly cooked, disgusting.

We were truly astonished, considering how the lunch had started.
I'll just offer a couple of tips:
Definitely remove risottos of any kind from the menu and be careful when pouring a glass, which should be made of wine, not the dregs of the bottle.

I had a good dinner at this restaurant, but I was hoping the menu would be more traditional.
After an initial moment of uncertainty about the reservation—it seemed like there wasn't one—the manager or owner sat us down.
He even showed interest in us halfway through the meal and was friendly at the end at the cash register.

The restaurant is very beautiful and centrally located: the food is traditional local cuisine, hearty, tasty, and easily digestible. Service was also prompt, despite the restaurant being packed. The only downside is that the tables are very close together, and since it's a single room, it's very noisy.

I had the game tagliatelle and a glass of red wine. I would have liked to try something else, but I didn't because I was alone for lunch. I'll be back with friends; the atmosphere in the deconsecrated church is very romantic. I paid €27, including coffee.

I had a pizza Diavolo and my wife a pizza tonno. It's definitely in the top 5 of best pizza dough, nice and light and crispy. And lots of cheese on the pizza. In a very nice way.

Everything was delicious, especially the appetizer of mixed cured meats and cheeses. The speck was incredibly tender and flavorful.
A special mention: I was very pleased with the friendliness, professionalism, and ease of the young host, who was incredibly kind and polite.

The appetizer of mixed cured meats and cheeses wasn't exceptional; the best things were the cheeses and the potato fritters of various flavors. The speck was tough and not particularly flavorful; in fact, the fresher salami was good, while the game one was tough, and like the speck, it was also quite tasteless.
For main courses, we had starters, which were truly generous and excellent; I left feeling full and satisfied.
On a negative note, which personally bothered me greatly, was seeing the very young waiter lingering at the table chatting and drinking with a couple of other customers of the same age; I found it in very bad taste and disrespectful of the other diners. This scene ended beautifully with him openly flirting with some girls in their early twenties at another table. Truly unprofessional; if I had the chance, I don't think I'd return for this very reason.
