Ristorante Il Castellaro In Teramo

After our walk in Atri we were looking for a place to have lunch, preferably outside with a view. Il Castellaro ticked the box. We were surprised that not more people have discovered this modern restaurant with great views and good food. The pastas were delicious and the mixed grill for one had enough meat for 3-4 people. The meat was succulent and grilled to perfection. Very friendly and helpful staff. Recommended.

I can say fantastic, very beautiful location, shame it was rainy in the evening, it has a large terrace where you can eat and see the view, I can say excellent food, absolutely friendly staff, I will definitely return in the future! Super recommended for spending a quiet evening eating very well!

On August 15th we had an excellent lunch, genuine and fresh products. The service was great. Highly recommended.

I stopped for lunch with my family, we ate two first courses and a second course. The raw materials were excellent and the dishes plentiful, the steak that was served to us melted in the mouth. The staff has always been courteous and polite.

This place is definitely worth it. The setting especially on the rooftop terrazzo is unique. The offerings are traditional Italian / Abruzzo specialties. Antipasti, primi, secondi… there is no printed menu, so it helps if you understand what is the typical offering in principle. I suppose the menu varies from day to day. Everything was excellent quality, tasty and plentiful. The service is very attentive yet relaxed and informal. The place is not very big, some tables at the roof top terrazzo and some by the park side. I definitely recommend the roof top ( I the summer time of course). Reservation might be good idea, even though at the time of our visit we were the only dinner quests. The indoor interior is rather minimalistic and perhaps not inviting for dinner. There is a fully equipped bar, too.

A nice terrace, good food, friendly service. We had some good tomato gnocchi, spaghetti alla guitar with meatballs, a lamb dish and a mixed meat dish with grilled vegetables, drinks (water and two beers) for a total of 80 euros. Limited choice but good dishes. Beautiful location for a dinner overlooking the hills.
