Ristorante Hotel Moderno In Erice

It seems to me that many of the reviews are derogatory. Or they refer to before the renovations, which took place around 2023 or 2024. What is certain is that the Hotel Moderno is now highly recommended. The rooms and bathrooms are furnished to a four-star standard. The restaurant has an enchanting view, both day and night; the menu is basic, but chef Baldo executes it very well. The wine and spirits list is basic but well-chosen, and we found the bulk white wine to be very respectable. The staff is friendly but discreet, the lobby is cozy and welcoming, and the background music is relaxing. Anyone who writes that parking in Erice is difficult and expensive either misunderstands or is not acting in good faith; for €12, you can park for a week in various parking lots. Erice is a medieval village, offering superb views, a pleasant climate, a relaxing atmosphere, and traditional cuisine and pastry shops that offer good value.

Very nice and welcoming stuff, great location right in the city center which you can enjoy from the balcony (better at the first floor than our second). We missed the minibar which should be there due to booking, the rooms are bit older which you can experience mostly in the bathroom, but its a cute little hotel in the heart of erice.

Had dinner in their restaurant after a visit in the afternoon with an organized travel group..! Everything was very good...👍💯 From the appetizers with mixed caponata, cherry tomatoes in oil, local cheese and crouton with black olive pate... to the first course with strangolatini with Ragusano pesto (too bad about the lot of garlic😞) to continue with excellent meat rolls with baked potatoes..! For dessert an excellent cassatina... and a good wine! Recommended...👍😎🧄🍽️🍷

Fixed menu at 30, excellent food, authentic, the cook was very kind, she gave detailed explanations of the recipes.
