What we didn't like so much: - Reception: The reception area is very dated; the furniture and design are cobbled together from the past few decades. In 4-star hotels, we are used to being served a welcome drink during check-in, rather than having to stand next to the reception desk while all your ID details are entered into the system. - The bar with seating in the entrance area is poorly staffed all day. Even in the evening, shortly before dinner, you wait a very long time before anyone even comes to ask if you would like a drink. At a "later" hour (directly after dinner), you feel like an unwelcome guest because the staff would rather call it a night. - At first glance, the hotel makes a modern impression; this is also consistently conveyed on the website. However, as soon as you enter the hotel, you can see from the reception area, hallways, basement, staircase, elevator, and, unfortunately, also the rooms that the hotel is very dated. The online service and the pictures in the booking confirmation give a completely different impression than the reality (see comparison of the picture from the booking confirmation and the photo of our room). - Reception: Information was very sparse and only provided upon request, and upon departure, the staff didn't seem to care whether we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The rooms were good and clean. The terrace during mealtimes was great, as it should be. The food and breakfast were excellent. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Thirteen is generally considered an unlucky number, but choosing Room No. 13 at the Girlanerhof was a real stroke of luck. As true "Girlanerhof veterans," we left completely thrilled, unfortunately, but we're already looking forward to seeing you again in the fall. It's always wonderful to arrive and enjoy the atmosphere of the hotel. This is defined by the personality of the hostess, Mrs. Margit Dellago, and the friendliness of her team, the creativity of the kitchen (thanks to Kalle and his team), and the "invisible spirits" who ensured a thoroughly successful vacation. Very well maintained and managed hotel, quiet without night noise, not quite centrally located, but ideal for all excursions and accessibility to holiday highlights in South Tyrol. Food varied and excellent. Service is always friendly and accommodating. Spa area very well maintained and tasteful, great outdoor pool. Perfect place, even with our furry friends we were treated in a totally relaxed way. We can't imagine anything better for relaxation and we will come back.

A place of the heart, The Girlaner Hof has been a place where our hearts have been stuck for years. You arrive and feel like you are in a second home. The rooms are of the most beautiful and highest standard. Always extremely clean, the pool/lounger and sauna area are inviting to linger, the kitchen is outstanding and second to none. The service staff is very professional and always has a nice saying on their lips, which creates a more than pleasant atmosphere. The loving treatment that children receive also makes it easy for parents to relax completely. Our children have known this place since their first months of life and it is a place of home for them too. But what is more than worth mentioning is the loving, family atmosphere. The hotel is run in an outstanding manner, which can be felt in every nook and cranny. What we cannot understand are recessions that are updated annually. This leaves us, as “regular guests” who have certainly had one or two experiences in this hotel, a little speechless. We have only had experiences that are guest-oriented, goal-oriented and always solved for the benefit of the guest!! We can mention all of this with a clear conscience, as we have been visiting this outstanding hotel several times a year for over 13 years.
