Ristorante Grual - Lefay Resort and Spa In Pinzolo

This place is absolutely amazing. The hotel is so clean and relaxing, and the food is amazing.

For a special occasion in mid-October, we chose to stay at the Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti, nestled in the woods of Pinzolo. From the moment we entered, we sensed a sense of harmony: wood, stone, and natural light blended together in an elegant architecture perfectly integrated into the landscape. The welcome at reception was attentive and friendly, with attentive staff who were always available and helpful. To reach the suite, you need to use two elevators, a rather unusual choice for a property of this size, making the journey to the room a bit more complicated. The suite is spacious and bright, with a glass wall separating the living area from the bathroom, only partially screened by vertical wooden slats, leaving limited privacy in the shower and tub. The toilet and bidet area, however, was decidedly inadequate: too small, windowless, and separated from the rest of the bathroom by a sliding door, it felt almost claustrophobic. The wooden terrace overlooking the garden and mountains is well-furnished with comfortable sofas, but the view, while pleasant, isn't quite as spectacular as one would expect from a resort of this caliber. Inside, the soft lighting system with switches distributed throughout is practical and intuitive. Upon request, a larger bathrobe was delivered promptly, confirming the efficient service. The spa, the heart of the resort, is spread over three levels: the pool area, the largest and most visible, includes an indoor pool connected to a heated outdoor section; next come the treatment areas and the thermal area, with a sauna, Turkish bath, and two additional pools, one unheated sports pool and one more intimate and warm. The small buffet with biodegradable containers is highly appreciated, a tasteful and environmentally friendly detail. Overall, however, the spa fails to convey the sense of fulfillment one expects from a luxury establishment: when compared to the best mountain resorts, it inevitably falls significantly short. Dinner at the Grual restaurant, already reviewed separately, was excellent and remains the highlight of the entire stay. A good night's sleep was restful, and the bed was comfortable; however, it was surprising that, despite the suite's numerous closets, there were no pillows of varying firmness: only two, both very soft, with no firmer or intermediate options. Breakfast was impressive: a wide selection, quality ingredients, and prompt service. A more than satisfying experience, with high-quality food and meticulous preparation. Comparison with the only other large luxury resort in the area is inevitable, and unfortunately, the Lefay doesn't quite hold up. It remains a pleasant stay, enhanced by excellent cuisine, but it lacks that touch of perfection that transforms a luxury experience into an unforgettable memory.

Amazing hotel, good value for money and fantastic service! Amazing and spacious rooms, amazing spa. Very clean. Generous breakfast. One downside - we really didn't like the hotel restaurant for dinner. Very small portions, and very very expensive. With a bill of 120 euros we left hungry

Absolutely incredible from the moment we pulled up to the moment we left. The entire property is spotless, modern, and designed for total relaxation. The staff’s hospitality was outstanding, warm, attentive, and professional. The on-site restaurants were phenomenal, with some of the best food we had on our entire trip. The pools are beautiful, the mountain views are breathtaking, and the spa facilities are beyond impressive. The Aufguss experience in the sauna was unforgettable, and there are so many saunas, steam rooms, and quiet spaces to unwind. LeFay Dolomites is truly heaven on earth, pure luxury and serenity in every detail. We can’t recommend it highly enough

A truly stunning place - everything here was top notch and I absolutely will be going back. The food was amazing, as were the drinks. The restaurants were all amazing, and I didn't have a single thing that didn't leave me impressed. The pool in particular was great to relax and all the little bubble jet areas were super fun. I visited during early fall, but I can imagine during the winter it would be even more impressively beautiful with the snow

Absolutely worth a try, exceptional spa

This hotel is located in a beautiful area in the Adamello Brenta Park, full of walks of all levels of difficulty, surrounded by beautiful woods. To reach most of the walks, however, you'll need to use a car or take advantage of the activities organized by the hotel. The hotel's interiors are meticulously maintained, albeit simply, using natural materials to blend in beautifully with the surrounding nature. The rooms are quiet and spacious, in line with other similarly priced hotels in South Tyrol. The spa is divided into various areas and is quite large compared to the number of rooms, making it almost always quiet and never crowded. There's a dedicated pool for swimming, which is very beautiful. The gym is well-equipped and spacious. The restaurant has a rather limited menu, which forces you to try every dish during a longer stay, but they're all excellent and meticulously crafted. The service is friendly and attentive, both at dinner and breakfast. The wine list is impressive. Highly recommended.

6-star hotel with 3-star service The Hotel LeFay in Pinzolo was recommended to us by our daughter, who described it as a "paradise in the Dolomites," a place where she could forget all the worldly worries (which the world has showered upon us in abundance in recent years) and dedicate herself to meditation and eternity. Our daughter is never wrong, so we decided to stay at the LeFay for a week to escape the unbearable heat of Roman August. Our first impression, when we were shown our room, could be described as something between ecstasy and amazement: an unusually beautiful designer room, tastefully furnished and designed down to the smallest detail, combining breathtaking views of the Alpine peaks from the windows with traditional Northern Italian motifs in the decorations, giving the room a welcoming atmosphere and an inexhaustible desire to never leave. It must be said that this welcoming atmosphere, refined taste, and understated creativity characterize the design of the entire hotel, from the reception to the spa and gym. I think I'm right in saying that this was the most artistically designed hotel we've ever stayed in. Kudos and admiration to the architects, designers, and builders of this hotel: it has become a dominant feature of all of Pinzolo. But, trying to be honest in my assessments, I can't help but mention the flaws. While the hotel is commendable in terms of architecture, design, and attention to detail, it is truly mediocre in its level of service. It seems that during the high season (we were there in early August), the hotel management hastily hired non-professionals to "fill the gaps" in customer service. In order: 1. Dear hotel management, please make navigation between the hotel buildings more or less clear. Not to mention that the floor numbers in one building don't match those in another (you have to take an elevator to floor 3 only to, to your surprise, find yourself on floor 0 in another elevator), there are no signs indicating how to get to reception. As a result, on our first day, we got lost among the buildings and had to ask a hotel employee we'd met for directions. When we finally figured out how to get to the right floor, we saw two other guests calling on the phone, trying to figure out where they were, so they could get directions to reception. 2. Dear hotel management, please send your most disheartened employees to courses where they can explain that nothing is as cheap and doesn't cost as much as a smile to a guest. The expression on some waiters' faces when they bring you coffee is something more than "these annoying guests still want something from us" that I can't describe. 3. For the first time in my life, probably in a 5-star hotel, every time I needed to ask for something at the front desk, I had to stand in line with 2-3 people and wait 10-15 minutes. It seems to me that a hotel that charges up to €1,000 a night for a room should be able to hire 2-3 more employees to solve this problem. 3. Speaking of coffee. I understand that coffee isn't as obsessive in northern Italy as it is in central or southern Italy, but upgrading the coffee machine and purchasing regular beans isn't a huge expense compared to the disappointment low-quality coffee brings to your guests. Believe me, a hotel of your caliber deserves better coffee than the one you currently serve. Overall, I hope the management manages to raise the bar on service to match the design and furnishings, and then, without a doubt, the Lefay will become the best hotel in Trentino, and perhaps in all of Italy. We stayed at Lefay for one night as we were making our way into South Tyrol to see some of the epic Dolomites. The views are of surrounding mountains and a valley overlooking a town. Pretty. The architecture and vibe of the resort is very nice and impressive. Staff were wonderful, Julia the concierge was friendly and helped us get acquainted with the resort. Great restaurant and food! We enjoyed our stay but were looking forward to moving on to getting into the higher peaks and more quintessential Dolomites.

I promise to be there in less than 5 years... before 2030 I will stay in those places 🙏🏼✨💕👸🏻
