Ristorante Grifone in Barcola Trieste, run for decades by the Lanzellotti family, has been a guest since 1992 and a friend of the family for 33 years. A top-notch restaurant run with heart, passion, and professionalism! A wonderful ambiance with an old tree shading the terrace and top-notch service at the table and in the kitchen by the Lanzellotti brothers. Regional products from the sea and the karst, vegetables, fruits, and wines from all over Friuli Venezia Giulia and neighboring Slovenia. I can only give it 10 stars. Thank you so much!

Nice outdoor lunch on the terrace

The menu advertises a mix of fish, but unfortunately, what you actually get is mostly crustaceans (prawns, etc.)...

We had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant in Trieste. We tried the clam soup and the mixed seafood spaghetti — both were absolutely delicious and filled with truly fresh seafood. The prices are reasonable, the waiter was extremely polite, and the place is dog-friendly too. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Trieste and looking for authentic, high-quality seafood dishes!
