HOWEVER, even though I booked and paid for the stay in full, my boyfriend was asked to sign the dinner bill. The bill had his name on it.
Beware of these kinds of "details" in 2026.

We spent two wonderful days at Hotel Bad Schörgau shortly after Christmas, staying in a premium suite.
We would especially like to highlight the exceptionally good food: creative, regionally inspired, and of a very high culinary standard – every dish was a delight. We were equally impressed by the team: the staff are courteous, warm, and attentive. You feel welcome and personally cared for from the very first moment.
The hotel itself is a small, special place that exudes tranquility, style, and authenticity. Everywhere you look, you can sense the owner's attention to detail and personal touch – a place you'll want to return to.

Bad Schörgau is and will remain a gem, something truly special. We've been coming back here for 15 years and are always amazed and surprised by how the cuisine, in particular, constantly reinvents itself. Unique!

The high expectations we had for this spa hotel were not met. The hotel's common areas are very welcoming and the staff is very friendly, however, we found numerous flaws that could be improved with a little more attention. First and foremost, the water in the pool and tubs was too cold, so much so that no guests were able to venture in; the spa was too small, especially the relaxation area, which on weekends couldn't accommodate all the guests present: a few more loungers would be enough.
The first day we arrived, our room had separate beds, and only the next day (after three requests to reception) did they join them with a sheet, which didn't really solve the problem, as we were sinking in the middle.
Finally, the half-board restaurant was good, but the service was excessively slow. We had booked a dinner at their gourmet restaurant, Alpes, a Michelin-starred restaurant (which also features the name Alpes), by email a month in advance. However, once we arrived in the lobby, we were told that it was impossible to dine at the gourmet restaurant they call the "Alpes experience" because our reservation wasn't recorded. So we were redirected to the half-board restaurant, which, while we liked it, hadn't been our initial choice. The website is also quite confusing.

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous rooms, and always friendly staff. We used the spa, and the only downside we found was the water temperature in all the outdoor pools, which is cold and doesn't allow for much relaxation.
The breakfast is spectacular, with excellent products, but written or verbal information about whether you can also order from the kitchen is needed, otherwise guests won't know.
Overall, the facility is excellent, and the restaurant is top-notch.

This hotel far exceeded our service expectations. The owner and every single member of staff were incredibly helpful and customer-oriented!
The entire hotel has a charming atmosphere, and you can tell that everything has been done with great attention to detail.

This hotel and its staff represent hospitality in capital leters. After a long trip I was greeted by a very friendly owner. The fact I was with a dog was not a problem at all, on the contrary. The room I had was spacious and very nice and clean. The dinner was superb. Too bad I stayed only for one night. I will come back for a longer stay. The hotel is superb
