Ristorante Giapponese Il Cuore In Firenze

I haven't been to Japan, but the way they serve customers, the plating, and the waiters' formality really made me feel like I was in Japan. Favorite dish: pork udon. The pieces of pork in the udon broth were fabulous; not to mention the udon itself. I liked them more than the fish. (You can tell it by the "recommended" symbol on the menu.) For dessert, the mochi with Macha ice cream is a must-try. The price is quite high, at €70 per person, excluding wine (we had water). Definitely worth a try.

If you're looking for a Japanese restaurant that feels like you're in Japan, Il Cuore is the place to go in Florence. Teruo guided us through the culinary experience from start to finish, with a respect only found in Japan, recommending typical dishes we won't soon forget. The fish served was incredibly fresh and of excellent quality, so much so that months later I still remember the taste. Without a doubt, one of the best Japanese restaurants we've ever tried. Highly recommended. We'll be back!

A traditional Japanese restaurant with an extensive menu based on quality ingredients. The restaurant is decorated in a traditional Japanese style. The service is very attentive and professional. The dishes are beautifully presented and tasty. Prices are moderately high.

The only TRUE Japanese restaurant in Florence. Full marks after an exquisite dinner. I went here with my girlfriend and I must say we were delighted. The location was intimate, with soft jazz music that immediately put us at ease. Teruo, the head waiter, is one of the most exquisite and professional people I've ever met in a restaurant. The service was on par with that of a Michelin-starred restaurant. He was attentive and always ready to describe the dishes and share their history. The food was nothing short of EXCELLENT. We ordered several very varied dishes, but the most impressive was the udon noodles in broth with sweet and sour pork. Finally, we tasted a delicious sake from their collection, capping off a superb dinner. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a true Japanese restaurant run by Japanese people.

This was by far the best meal of our entire time in Florence, maybe even our lives! Tarou treated us so kindly and shared incredible details about the food with us as we ate, while guiding us through the menu and sake pairings! When we made the reservation we were confused about the availability of the o-toro and when we were sad to have missed it, he made sure we got to try it regardless. Needless to say, we had a wonderful experience! Don’t miss the udon, or dessert as they were other stand outs from our meal that we would come back for if we could! The ambiance was delightful as well with jazz covers of ghibli soundtrack faves the entire night!

10/10 cannot rate highly enough! Without a doubt, the best culinary experience I’ve had in my life so far. Immediately on entering, the ambiance nearly made me forget I was in Italy, and they blended the interior decor with the construction of the existing Italian structure so well. Shortly after being greeted and seated by Tarou, the profoundly hospitable floor manager, I accidentally knocked a small glass dish off the table with the corner of my menu. I believe it was Megumi who, rather than admonishing me for my mistake, also greeted us with a smile while cleaning up the glass and making sure everything was alright. She was so delightful it helped me feel comfortable again after my blunder. We shared the Miso soup, the Udon with pork belly, the unbelievable gold-flaked O-toro, Tatsuta-age (fried chicken), and Dorayaki all paired with Sake and Sapporo with a final digestive to top everything off. Each, in their own different way, was perfect. Tarou guided us through the meal, providing interesting information about the history and craft behind each course. It’s evident everyone involved puts their care and knowledge into every detail of the experience. My only complaint is it had to come to an end. I wish the whole team the very best and I’m grateful to be one of their fortunate guests.

Ho provato questo ristorante due settimane fa con un amico. Prima di andarci sapevo già che questo ristorante é considerato il miglior giapponese di Firenze, soprattutto dai nipponici stessi. Siamo stati accolti in un perfetto stile nipponico, risvegliando tanti ricordi nostalgici dei miei due precedenti viaggi nella terra del Sol Levante. Al momento della prenotazione avevo già riservato due piatti a disponibilità limitata, il sashimi di ventresca di tonno (Ōtoro sashimi) e la carne di Wagyū alla piastra. A questi abbiamo aggiunto un sashimi misto speciale, un udon con kakuni e un temaki “del pescatore”. A questi piatti abbiamo abbinato un sake più adatto per il wagyū e uno per gli altri piatti. La serata si é chiusa con un dessert di mochi ripieni di azuki affiancati da dell’umeboshi, gentilmente offerto. Particolarmente apprezzato sia i consigli su piatti e abbinamenti che la spiegazione di ogni piatto, enunciata in punta di piedi, senza mai disturbare ma, al contrario, così interessante che ci dispiacevamo ogni volta che il cameriere terminava e si allontanava. Alla cassa non ho potuto fare a meno di comprare due piccoli soprammobili tipici (due maneki neko)! Ci torneremo sicuramente perché il menù é ancora vasto (ma alcuni piatti sono da bis obbligatorio!) Grazie allo staff per averci fatto vivere una serata da sogno!

Non capisco come qualcuno possa aver dato una sola stella a questo ristorante. Non si tratta del solito ristorante giapponese ma di una vera esperienza a 360 gradi. La cucina é autentica cucina giapponese con materie di prima qualità. Lo consiglio sinceramente a tutti. Ottimo cibo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo (a differenza di alcune recensioni che lo definiscono caro). Ottimo servizio impeccabile in pieno stile giapponese. Ci tornerò molto volentieri.
