Very spicy caciucco and practically only made of squid and octopus, a single crustacean, a small piece of fish and a mussel (with two finger-high slices of bread placed underneath to add volume). Total disappointment.

First time at Gennarino's... historic place, family atmosphere... top notch cleanliness. Professional and competent staff. As for the food I can only say that it is high quality, satisfying and plentiful. It shouldn't be called a restaurant but rather a boutique of refined taste! Congratulations…luigi dr. de Simone

Personale molto gentile e disponibile, iniziano a servire la cena alle 18.30, molto comodo se si deve prendere il traghetto. Piatti gustosi e abbondanti come il caciucchino, versione ridotta ma per me sufficiente. Sui 50 eur in 3 bevendo acqua. Buon wifi.

There's probably an angel in the kitchen. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to explain the poetry of tuna steak. And then very kind, friendly and attentive staff! Highly recommended and even a little more!

Ottimo pranzo a base di pesce.
Siamo arrivati a Livorno con il desiderio di gustare del buon pesce e così è stato.
Buoni i primi, il fritto e sua maestà il cacciucco ( preso in una versione “un po’” ridotta detta cucciucchino).
Servizio cortese e celere. Porzioni abbondanti.
Locale molto tradizionale, forse leggermente datato nell’arredo, ma la cucina noi l’abbiamo trovata ottima.

Excellent restaurant: some took the cacciucco (FABULOUS!!), others took the first courses and the fried food. All dishes were very good.
I recommend, for small stomachs, to take the cacciucchino, which is smaller than the cacciucco (18 euros vs 25 euros); Unfortunately we left it but leaving in the following days we were unable to take it home. Such a pity.
Good quality/price ratio.
A precaution that I noticed and really appreciated: in the bathroom, in addition to there being a changing table, which is difficult to find, there is a small basket with female diapers. A cuteness that in case of "alarm" can be a real salvation! If I return to Livorno I will definitely return for dinner at Gennarino's.

Restaurant with an environment reminiscent of the trattorias of the 70s, pleasant and clean. Impeccable service, friendly and trained staff.
