04/01/2026: Difficult to get to, the road is extremely narrow and the parking lot, once you reach the top of the hill, isn't very large, but the view is absolutely rewarding, spanning the entire valley all the way to Marina di Pisa. The place feels like an Alpine cabin, with a fireplace, a wood-burning stove, and wooden finishes, including the roof beams. The staff is extremely friendly, and you're greeted with a small sample of focaccia, bread fritters, and fried polenta. The menu is typically Tuscan, with appetizers featuring cured meats and cheese, and first courses ranging from ravioli, paccheri with duck ragù, sliced ​​beef, peposo, suckling pig with porcini mushrooms, and more. The house wine is not bad, a fragrant San Giovese. The homemade desserts include the deconstructed millefeuille with orange-flavored Chantilly cream and the traditional torta co' bischeri.
