We did not want to leave. We cried. Everything in this hotel is top notch but what really stands out is the family feeling. Owners are always there for you assisting with anything with this amazing hospitality and smile. Thank you David and Susanne.

A truly excellent hotel with high cost-performance run by a lovely family. We felt very welcomed with warm and kind service. The room was actually much larger than it appeared in photos (we usually have the opposite problem) and the spa was to die for. The ski-in ski-out access was perfect, with the best (brand new) ski locker we've ever seen. Access to hiking trails was also great. I can recommend the half-board option, which was a tasty treat to come home to every day. My only small suggestion would be having the spa open earlier in the day or allowing for private reservation (even for a fee) of the spa when it is not open to all guests. It might be nice to have more time available to enjoy the amazing amenities with a more relaxing vibe. Thank you for a fantastic stay - we will hope to be back!

The Freina Hotel is a true gem in the Val Gardena region. Recently and thoughtfully renovated, the rooms boast stylish designs and high-quality materials. Both the layout of the rooms and the overall hotel are meticulously planned for convenience and comfort. The soundproofing is excellent— we never heard our neighbors, ensuring an exceptional quality of sleep. The housekeeping service is also outstanding. The restaurant is superb. We opted for half board, but also took advantage of the hotel’s prime location near the main Ciampinoi lift, occasionally stopping by for lunch. We stayed during the busiest week of the year, including New Year's Eve, and couldn’t fault either the food or the service. The hotel offers the rare convenience of ski-in, ski-out access, a true highlight in this region. The diverse selection of saunas provided the perfect way to unwind after a full day on the slopes. However, the hotel’s greatest asset is the family that runs it. Professional and available around the clock, they offer exceptional care to every guest. We felt as though we were receiving the kind of attention and warmth typically reserved for close family friends. Bravo! We’ll definitely be returning.

For over ten years, this has been my favorite hotel in the Dolomites. The Kostner family is incredibly welcoming and runs the hotel with genuine passion and care. Each year, they continue to enhance both the hotel and the restaurant, and this year they’ve outdone themselves with a beautifully renovated ski room! The rooms are modern and elegant, and the food is consistently excellent. Staying here is always a wonderful experience.

The recent stay at the Hotel Freina in Selva di Val Gardena was fantastic. Rooms, service and cuisine are extremely well looked after, demonstrating how the Kostner family knows their stuff when it comes to hospitality. The brand new ski room is very useful and comfortable, while the newly created wellness area offers pleasant moments of relaxation.

Great, family-run hotel, perfect for winter holidays and summer holidays! Tastefully furnished, very warm, helpful and attentive staff, excellent food, very clean, great sauna area with relaxation pool. We'll be back!!

Sono anni che vado in val Gardena e almeno una volta a soggiorno non può mancare di passare di qui. Servizio rapido, personale gentile, piatti ottimi sia alla vista sia al palato. Il mio piatto preferito è il lombo di cervo. In quest’ultima visita il mio compagno ed io abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di fiori di zucca, canederli in brodo, risotto con carne, lombo di cervo, due calici di vino, due amari e una bottiglia d’acqua per un totale di 114€. Super consigliato e da non perdere!

Wij zochten een restaurant die eens wat anders op het menu had staan dan veel restaurants in de Dolomieten. Dat is zeker gelukt met dit restaurant! We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten in een super sfeervolle ambiance. Dit restaurant is zeker een aanrader en wij komen zeker terug als wij in de buurt zijn! 🖤
