Außergewöhnlich, vorzügliche Vorspeisen, Hauptgänge Hirschrücken, Tagliata, Risotto, Steinpilze, Dessert warmes Schokoküchlein, hausgemachtes Himbeereis-ein Traum! Weinempfehlung sehr gut: Weißburgunder vom Gump Hof!

Fabulous food, wonderful service & gorgeous surroundings. We had the soup & mini salad for starters followed by the Angus fillet on black stone griddle, accompanied by Lagrein red wine. Highly recommended on all counts! Our waiter was called Marcel, he was very attentive and offered first class service.

For the second year, my partner and I returned to this wonderful hotel. Hospitality, kindness and customer care reign supreme. Very neat and clean rooms and common areas. The owners of the Freina hotel make you feel like a member of their wonderful family. There will be no shortage of opportunities to return.

Exceptional family-owned hotel. Abundant and delicious breakfast. The large room had a fantastic view and was newly renovated with every detail in mind. Everyone is extremely nice and treats you like family. No request is too small. David went out of his way to accommodate us with a room when we arrived very late at night. Thank you again. We will be back. Highly recommend this hotel!

I had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Freina. Everything was uncomplicated and no fake friendliness. The rooms are absolutely clean and you don't miss anything. However, this is of course standard nowadays, which is why there are 4 stars instead of 5. The location is great. It's easy to get to the cable car and to the center quite quickly, but it's still in a quiet location with a fantastic terrace area. I can't give it 5 stars because it would then surpass my private living situation.

We have been guests at the Hotel Freina for several years and it is always beautiful and very familiar. We are always thrilled by the hospitality and warmth that is shown to us.

01/09/2024: We ate here 3 times during our vacation. It was always very tasty. The restaurant is located right in the center of Sand in Taufers. Has a beautiful Mediterranean covered outdoor area (unfortunately you can't reserve for outside). The staff is very friendly and quick. The only drawback is that the food (there were three of us) didn't come to the table at the same time. I was already halfway through my pizza when my wife's food arrived. This could be timed better. But otherwise everything was great, prices were reasonable, pizza was nice and thin, meat dishes were well fried, the rosemary pasta pan was very tasty. Definitely coming back on your next vacation.

14/08/2024: Very centrally located hotel with its own underground car park in Merano. There was a delicious breakfast buffet and dinner in the half board is also highly recommended. The rooms are very simply furnished, but absolutely functional. I can absolutely recommend the new wellness area. The view of the mountains from the sauna is beautiful, and the roof terrace also has a wonderful view of the valley. Several bus lines leave within a 5-minute walk and take you to Dorf Tirol, Trautmannsdorf or the Meran 2000 cable car. Thanks to the included guest pass, you can also use these means of transport free of charge. An absolute recommendation for Meran! :)
12/08/2024: Very nice and competent staff. Good food with half board. Great pool to cool off. Family atmosphere.
