We returned again after a good first experience in June on a weekday, and we must reiterate the excellent quality of the food and service, provided by the very kind and prompt Alessia. I won't describe the new dishes we tried, other than the EXQUISITE and UNIQUE polenta concia d'Oropa... the photos are enough to understand the delicacy... always TOP... truly mouth-watering with moderate prices... €94 for 4 people with 3 first courses (with seconds), 2 second courses, 5 desserts, 1 coffee, 1 375ml bottle of Dolcetto wine, 1 Menabrea Weiss beer, and 1 bottle of mineral water... in a family-friendly, clean, and warm atmosphere.

Recommended by relatives who live in the area, a simple, family-run, clean restaurant with ALL the food "homemade," run by a local family. The service is fast and friendly, courtesy of the young Alessia and a very courteous lady...with free seconds and even thirds of their most famous specialty, POLENTA CONCIA di OROPA (with lots of local toma cheese and butter, melted into the soft polenta...see attached photos and videos).
But there are many good dishes to choose from on the menu, something for all tastes...at very fair prices...accompanied by a good red wine, Barbera or Dolcetto, or a good 0.75L craft beer...I recommend "La Blanche"...I think it's called "Luise"...anyway, you can't go wrong...clear, fresh, light, and full-bodied, like the renowned German Weiss and Belgian or Dutch Wits...and with a low alcohol content of 4.5%...for those who have to drive and don't want any problems.
I'm attaching some photos of the dishes we tasted...they speak for themselves to show you the goodness and quality of the raw materials used.
Total cost for 4 people with 1 appetizer + 4 first courses (with two polentas) + 1 second course + 4 desserts + 3 glasses of red wine + 1 75cl beer = €112.
Just one additional tip: if you go on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday... BOOK!!... because many people know about it... and ENJOY YOUR MEAL!!

We had lunch here just today. We had lunch as a family with a small child and we had a really good time. The staff was super friendly and professional. For me, Oropa means polenta concia, and here it's truly excellent!! You can also get a second helping... excellent cured meats and meat, highly recommended. No trip to Oropa would be complete without lunch here!!! Thanks, see you next time!

We went there on Monday for lunch, after visiting the Sanctuary. We arrived just after 1:30 PM, having made a reservation. The restaurant was packed. There were two of us plus the child. We opted for the tasting menu: excellent, high-quality food, but the service really made it stand out. The young woman who served our table, located in the bar area, was incredibly kind; even though we were the last ones in the restaurant and they had been working non-stop, we were treated with kindness right to the end. My son thanks us again for the bonet. The polenta concia, of course, is TOP. We can't wait to go back.

Four of us had lunch today, Wednesday, August 27th. A typical trattoria with high-quality dishes and decent portions. We were lucky enough to find sautéed porcini mushrooms, which they served with polenta. Amazing! I'll be back!

Durante le mie visite al Santuario di Oropa ero stato in tanti altri ristoranti ma mai in questo e quindi dovevo provarlo. Abbiamo iniziato con un misto di selvaggina (cinghiale e cervo con polenta), lumache con patate arrosto e per finire un dessert. Siccome le lumache erano molto buone e non é facile trovarle, abbiamo preso due porzioni da portare a casa.

Ristorante con piatti semplici ma ben curati. Buoni gli antipasti della casa, ottimi i ravioli e sopratutto ottima la polenta concia. Io non sono un amante della polenta concia ma questa la ho trovato molto buona. Prezzi buoni
