We booked so we could be sure of having a reserved seat on a very busy Sunday. We had lunch outside under the main cover. Spartan environment without pretensions, as is the service, which however is very polite and attentive. Let's order: Polenta concia: excellent, nothing to say. A mix of wild boar and deer: not up to expectations. Stracotto with Dolcetto d'Alba: certainly of a higher level than the other chosen second course. Chocolate cheesecake cake: no, very little cheese, very sweet, more like a mouse. Ultimately I would say that this is fine, but overall I didn't find anything that fully satisfied me with flavors dictated by tradition and the location, except for the polenta. 2 people €63 including drinks, including an excellent craft beer which affects the final bill.

A fixed destination for those who go to visit Oropa. Relaxing internal room, cool veranda sheltered from the summer sun. Perfect and plentiful food, with a wide choice of typical dishes.

Venuti a Oropa ad animare la Messa con il nostro canto nella Basilica Superiore abbiamo potuto apprezzare la cucina di questo ristorante: tutto di ottima qualità, dagli antipasti in poi. Il piatto che ci ha maggiormente deliziato è stata la polenta concia di Oropa veramente sublime. Solo questo piatto merita il viaggio. Se poi aggiungiamo cortesia, cordialità e efficienza nel servizio non abbiamo altro da desiderare. Grazie di cuore alla cucina e al personale di sala, avete contribuito a rendere speciale la nostra giornata.

Posto molto bello, dietro alla basilica maggiore. Personale accogliente, cibo ottimo è dir poco. Prezzi assolutamente adeguati, non lo definirei un posto caro. Ambiente caldo e accogliente.
