Ristorante Donna Sofia In Sorrento

One of our favourite spots in Italy. A Sorrento must.

The food was very good and it was extremely helpful that we had a reservation. It was packed and for a good reason, it was great! They even brought out a little side dish for you If you don’t order when others at the table are eating they give you a snack so you’re not left out. The staff are quick and polite. We got our first meal out very quickly but our second meal took 45 minutes where we were just sitting waiting to pay and leave but they wouldn’t let us because our food was still being processed. That was our only disappointment. The other disappointment which was small but out of their control was an accordion player played like two songs and then went around, asking for tips, which we thought he would continue playing, but he just left with the money. Kinda funny but wish we didn’t tip for two short songs.

When we stayed in Sorrento all our friends and family suggested this is the best place to go for a good priced family meal in the town centre. Sorrento is famous for its seafood, and Donna Sofia is no exception but they also had good carne items including a 50 euro steak for 2 which was heaven.

Could easily be the best restaurant in Sorrento. Amazing service, even better food! Will return here!!!

Long wait for the food (which isn’t that good). Overpriced, overrated!

Beautiful location when in Sorento,

The food was the highlight of the evening—well-prepared, flavourful, and clearly made with care. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t quite live up to the same standard. Service was uneven throughout: several items were delayed or forgotten, and we found ourselves needing to follow up more than once. Plates were sometimes cleared before everyone had finished, which disrupted the flow of the meal. The atmosphere was pleasant at first, but took an odd turn when a musician began playing accordion to backing tracks before making rounds to collect tips—an unexpected interruption that felt more intrusive than charming. The wine list leans heavily on recognisable labels at premium prices, but the offering feels mismatched with the level of service. Overall, while the kitchen shows real promise, the experience would benefit from more attentive service and a tighter focus on the overall guest journey.

Great place, great service and great food. For an establishment of this size to produce such a good product continuously is amazing. The owner and his daughter make the place.

Bellissima location infinita carrellata di foto della Loren, a cui il ristorante si ispira, una specie di boutique restaurant, con cucina a vista. Servizio presente. Lo consiglio più per la location. La cucina c'è ma forse passa in secondo piano. Prezzi alti e forse giustificati piu dalla località turistica, che dai piatti.

Locale molto bello, personale gentilissimo compreso la titotale/cuoca che esce dalla cucina e si avvicina ai tavoli per assicurarsi che vada tutto bene. Pietanze tradizionali italiane deliziose. Essendo stati nel periodo natalizio ci hanno offerto gli Struffoli (tipico dolce napoletano) ,da napoletana i piu buoni che abbia mai assaggiato, compresa la delizia a limone Tutto eccellente
