Ristorante dell'Hotel Villa Edera E la Torretta In Moneglia

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Edera & La Torretta as part of our "Tranquil Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera" trip booked through Inn Travel Moneglia is a charming town with a variety of small boutique restaurants and is well placed to explore the Ligurian Riviera by rail, although some timetable pre-planning is advisable. There are great walks accessible directly from the hotel and also across the wider area. Our favorites were "Manarola to Corniglia", "The Gulf of Poets - Isola Palmaria & Portoverene",; "Corniglia to Monterosso" & "Camogli to Portofina" And finally a BIG thank you to the daughter of the hotel owner (sorry I can't remember your name), who kindly gave us a lift to Sestri Levante rail station to avoid us missing our return flight home due to a rail strike effecting the local train line. Phew!!

Elevated is the word I would use to describe our stay here. A wonderful property that is very private with an exceptional staff.

Wonderful stay: beautiful facility with lots of nature, good food, cozy rooms and very friendly person. It was truly a unique stay! We came by train from Switzerland: great train connections to Moneglia and the proximity of the hotel to the train station made the journey easier.

We have had a lovely week at Villa Edera. The location is excellent (facilitated by a lift up the steep hill from the station) and the village is an easy walk. Our room with balcony was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful without exception. We loved the pesto demonstration and the wine tasting events booked as extras! The food was excellent in the breakfast bar, in Nasturzio in the evenings and in the Michelin-starred Orto. My one suggestion for improvement would be light dimmer switches in Nasturzio. The bright lights which are nice for morning service are not very atmospheric for an evening meal! A very small issue in a really lovely week.

Magnificent hotel, great setting and perfect location! The villa is sublime, the welcome and services are quality, the staff is available and provides very good advice. 4/5 for the room because ours had not yet been renovated but the bedding was very good. Special mention for the hotel restaurant which is one of the best in the region, I highly recommend!

Lovely quiet hotel in Moneglia. Great food and service from the friendly staff. Location is perfect for exploring the Italian Riviera using the nearby railway.
