Location: The hotel is located near the ski resort of Kurzras in the Senales Valley at around 1800m altitude. The hotel stands almost alone above the reservoir with a wonderful view of the 3000 world. Rooms and other things: Very clean and functionally furnished. Everything you need is there without the unnecessary bells and whistles. Wellness area suited the needs and expectations of a hotel very well Service: At first something that felt cautious and reserved, a kind of family affiliation quickly developed. Everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. Particularly worthy of mention is the very lovable senior manager and the current boss. Food: Just good. Starting with breakfast with probably the best scrambled eggs ever with Tyrolean bacon. The buffet offers everything you need and everything is very fresh. The dinner consists of a salad buffet, starter, small main course, large main course (choice of 2nd dishes) and dessert. So 5 courses every evening. Always perfectly prepared and superbly served. Each dinner lasted around 90 minutes. It couldn't get any better!! What didn't like: WiFi can be expanded. It's not the speed that's the problem (in this lonely location) but the lighting in the room. Most of the time no connection. There is some catching up to do here Meal time: Dinner only from 7 p.m. So the main course always comes at 8:10 p.m. It's a little too late Drink prices: Charging 6.00 euros for a Paulaner wheat beer or 5.00 euros for a normal beer from the nearby forest brewery (0.4l), which means 6.20 euros for a pint is simply too much. If dinner lasts around 90 minutes, then for a married couple who drinks beer, that means an additional cost of over 20 euros in the evening. The prices for wine are even higher because it is only offered by the bottle. Room service: Often stood in the door shortly after 9 a.m. and only emotionally knocked when he was already in the door. Conclusion: The 2-3 small critical points, which could easily be changed, cannot really detract from the overall impression. Great value for money with very, very good cuisine. We will definitely go to the Hotel Gerstgras in Senales Valley again

Buon pranzo, un menu con piatti tipici altoatesini ma anche con piatti di pasta e carni tipici italiani. Il vino rosso locale molto buono e dolce abbondante e ottimo, unica pecca i tovaglioli di carta e il cestino del pane a pagamento.

We had a wonderful holiday at this hotel, with attention to detail, excellent for its location. Nice and clean rooms, as well as the spa. A kind family attentive to the needs of guests. Magnificent hotel in the middle of a large, well-kept and beautiful valley. The location is perfect for those who love tranquility more than social life, otherwise it could feel isolated. Polite, helpful and only apparently a little cold staff: it's up to you to break the ice and then the friendliness comes out too!

I have been to this hotel twice and I had a great time... for me, having a dog, the location is fantastic both for the tranquility and for the ease of reaching the paths behind the hotel... very kind and attentive to your needs needs.. this time we found the hotel renovated in a more modern style very nice.. the spa area, pool and the rest is beautiful.. the food is good.. I will certainly return

Very nice hotel in Val Senales, good starting point for hiking with a local bus stop. Clean rooms, great wellness facility, friendly staff and very good food. We liked it very much. We'd love to come back.

short weekend in Val Senales, spacious room as well as the bathroom even if the bidet is missing, perhaps the bathroom with the sliding door would be much more functional. Dinner with good choice on the menu, breakfast in the category standard. Small flaw at the reception, staff not always present but always ready for every need. Location along the road in winter a shuttle runs to the nearby ski facilities. Recommended, wellness center not used but very nice, shame it has to be paid for by guests

Really nice hotel, new, undergoing finishing touches. A family run but highly professional business. Friendly owners and staff. Impeccable cleanliness by good South Tyroleans. Breakfast excellent choice and quality. Mouth-watering cuisine (competition dumplings). The only flaw for us Italians is the lack of a bidet. Even if we are used to travelling, the lack of it in Italy surprised us a little. However, a truly relaxing place. Extra praise for separating the children's area

If you are looking for peace and quiet, but also activities in nature, this is the right place for you. The hotel exudes modern comfort. The hosts and their team ensure an unrestricted feeling of well-being! Every wish is anticipated by the guest and fulfilled immediately. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with lots of wood. Our bathroom had a rainforest shower; just lovely. The breakfast buffet was extremely plentiful and varied. In the afternoon there was a small selection of cakes. The 5-course menu in the evening was brilliant. There are several hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty in front of the house and in the surrounding area. The area around the Vernago reservoir is also very beautiful.

Super nice hotel in a good location with a bus stop right in front of the door. Very friendly staff with high standards of service and food. We were very excited and would love to come back.
