Location: The hotel is located near the ski resort of Kurzras in the Senales Valley at around 1800m altitude. The hotel stands almost alone above the reservoir with a wonderful view of the 3000 world. Rooms and other things: Very clean and functionally furnished. Everything you need is there without the unnecessary bells and whistles. Wellness area suited the needs and expectations of a hotel very well Service: At first something that felt cautious and reserved, a kind of family affiliation quickly developed. Everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. Particularly worthy of mention is the very lovable senior manager and the current boss. Food: Just good. Starting with breakfast with probably the best scrambled eggs ever with Tyrolean bacon. The buffet offers everything you need and everything is very fresh. The dinner consists of a salad buffet, starter, small main course, large main course (choice of 2nd dishes) and dessert. So 5 courses every evening. Always perfectly prepared and superbly served. Each dinner lasted around 90 minutes. It couldn't get any better!! What didn't like: WiFi can be expanded. It's not the speed that's the problem (in this lonely location) but the lighting in the room. Most of the time no connection. There is some catching up to do here Meal time: Dinner only from 7 p.m. So the main course always comes at 8:10 p.m. It's a little too late Drink prices: Charging 6.00 euros for a Paulaner wheat beer or 5.00 euros for a normal beer from the nearby forest brewery (0.4l), which means 6.20 euros for a pint is simply too much. If dinner lasts around 90 minutes, then for a married couple who drinks beer, that means an additional cost of over 20 euros in the evening. The prices for wine are even higher because it is only offered by the bottle. Room service: Often stood in the door shortly after 9 a.m. and only emotionally knocked when he was already in the door. Conclusion: The 2-3 small critical points, which could easily be changed, cannot really detract from the overall impression. Great value for money with very, very good cuisine. We will definitely go to the Hotel Gerstgras in Senales Valley again
