Our family had one of the best dining experiences of our entire trip to Italy at Il IV Cantone Ristorante De Chiara. Every dish was outstanding—beautifully prepared, full of authentic flavour, and made with such care that you can truly taste the passion behind the kitchen.
The service was equally exceptional. The staff were friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel like part of the family from the moment we walked in.
One of the highlights of our meal was watching our son enjoy his pasta so much that he ordered the exact same dish twice. It was that good — and honestly, we couldn’t blame him!
It’s rare to find a place where the food, atmosphere, and hospitality come together so perfectly, but this restaurant absolutely delivered. We left completely happy, full, and already talking about coming back.
Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area — an unforgettable meal.

Christmas lunch... What can I say? A unique experience. Delicious food, impeccably prepared. I couldn't say what was better, everything was superb. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.

Intrigued by the excellent reviews of this restaurant, I finally decided to go with my wife to see for myself. Well, to the almost unanimous chorus of praise, I'd like to add my own. We truly felt at home in this establishment, which, in Fregene, certainly has no competition. The atmosphere is serene and welcoming, the decor is meticulously curated, the De Chiara brothers' unparalleled expertise, and, last but not least, the dishes are expertly prepared and of excellent quality, without neglecting a touch of aesthetics, which never hurts. Among the dishes we sampled, also on the owner's recommendation, were the excellent tagliolini with fish ragù and the perfectly fried monkfish with onions. Also noteworthy was the grilled amberjack steak, whose perfection I discussed with the chef to try and unravel his secrets. Finally, the Anthium wine from Casale del Giglio, one of Lazio's most prestigious wineries, deserves a mention. We are very satisfied with this culinary experience and are sure to return soon.
