We had lunch for two at this family-run Osteria, serving excellent traditional Roman cuisine.
We had a starter of pappardelle with hare sauce, exceptionally delicious, and the strozzapreti with artichokes and bacon, delicately flavored and scented with Roman mint, both equally excellent.
For our main course, the legendary coda alla vaccinara, incredibly soft and flavorful, and the boiled meatballs.
The house red wine paired perfectly with the courses!
A special mention for the artichoke alla giudia, simply perfect!
To round out these superb courses, we sampled the desserts: zuppa inglese, a top-notch Italian trifle, and tiramisu, a runner-up.
The host, Mr. Massimo, who guided us through the entire selection of dishes, proved to be very knowledgeable and a keen connoisseur of the various specialties.
We will definitely be back and I recommend trying it; you won't be disappointed!

Authentic Roman cuisine as it once was.
In addition to the usual matriciana, pajata, gricia, cacio e pepe, etc., you can also find mezze maniche with oxtail sauce!!!
For the rest, you'll be spoiled for choice.
The atmosphere is more than friendly.
Perfect for a fun evening, ending with excellent desserts made by Massimo.
A must-try.

The food is excellent and the dishes are truly typical Roman dishes. The service is good, with the waiters being very kind and helpful. The atmosphere is rustic, like a Roman trattoria, and the prices are a bit high.

The Infiorata del Pane lunch was exceptional, to say the least. A truly delicious selection of cured meats and cheeses, served with traditional Roman antipasti.
The homemade, hand-cut pappardelle with spicy wild boar ragù was truly exquisite, as were the berry cheesecake and the excellent tiramisu.
A wide selection of wines, and Chef Massimo is a host who knows how to best advise.
Prices are absolutely average. I'll be back soon.

The best of Castelli cuisine in Genzano! Max and Marcello will recommend phenomenal dishes and... even lots of gluten-free options... Celiacs, head to the castles and delight your palate.
