Ristorante da Cencia In Roma

A very nice place, nestled in the Trastevere neighborhood. Although the service was good, we had some issues with the quality of the food. There were four of us at the table, and we sent back the Calamari fish main courses because they weren't up to par. Unfortunately, none of us ordered the traditional Roman dishes, which I imagine, in keeping with Trastevere restaurants, are definitely better!

Our visit was a very pleasant experience and highly recommended. It's one of those places you don't expect to find, but that ends up becoming a real find. From the start, the atmosphere was welcoming, with a comfortable and well-kept space that invites you to linger. The food was delicious: authentic Italian cuisine prepared with great care, abundant, and with a homemade flavor that conveys tradition. Each dish exceeded our expectations, both in quality and presentation. The service was exceptional: the staff was always friendly, attentive, and smiling, making us feel welcome at all times. One detail we loved was that they recognized our language and made an effort to communicate with us in Spanish or English, which made the experience even more intimate and special. In short, a place that combines good food, warm service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Perfect for enjoying a typical Italian dinner and taking home a memorable souvenir. We will definitely return and recommend it without hesitation!

I stumbled across this restaurant while wandering through Trastevere, and its charming exterior immediately caught my eye. After reading through several menus in the area, this was the only place I found serving Scaloppine al Limone – a dish I had heard was a must-try in Italy. When we arrived around 7:30, the restaurant was already nearly full, but luckily they found us a table. Of course, I had to order the Scaloppine al Limone, along with a few side dishes, and I was so glad I did – everything was delicious, and I was very happy with my choice. I also noticed a few nearby tables ordering pasta dishes, which looked fantastic and definitely something I’d love to try on my next visit. The service was warm, welcoming, and tourist-friendly, which made the whole experience even better. A lovely spot in Trastevere that I’d happily return to when in Rome!

Wow, authentic Italian food. The pasta is amazing, and the service is attentive, pleasant, and polite. A 10.

Just last night, my daughter and I were wandering around Trastevere and found this restaurant, which we immediately loved. We were right...we ate very well, with generous portions. The helpfulness and friendliness that distinguish Romans were evident in the waiters. Definitely recommended.

Highlight of our trip to Italy. We ate there almost everyday after finding it. It was very pleasant to find a place that was not a tourist trap like most of the restaurants we tried in the area. Excellent food and prices. Fish was very fresh and pasta was perfect. Will visit again when in Roma.

We were visiting Trastevere and stumbled upon this place, which attracted us with its Roman charm… and we weren't disappointed… A true family-run tavern atmosphere, excellent traditional dishes, friendly and helpful staff, and prices in line with the location. The carbonara was superb, and I would have bet on the cacio pepe too… we'll be back to try it. Thank you

Pranzo in famiglia. Carbonara, Amatriciana, Gricia...piatti tutti squisiti. Ottima qualità degli ingredienti. Il top è stato il filetto ai funghi. Per chi ama la carne al sangue, da assaggiare.
