Everything about Il Conte Matto was amazing, from the locations to the food, the rooms and the staff. Recommend for this incredibly gorgeous region in Tuscany.

Delicious food in an out-of-the-way Tuscan village. The best way to experience this is to get a room upstairs for a night or two so you can experience the menu and not have to drive anywhere afterwards. A relaxing experience.

The food was exceptional, but portions were slightly small, there was little empathy with the guests, and the grappa tasting at the end was perhaps expensive. We might be back, though.

There's a complete lack of parking nearby, making access more difficult. Simple, tasty dishes (a selection of prosciutto) alternate with more bland options. The dessert needs a complete overhaul (we only tried one). Service isn't particularly fast.

02/01/2026: Amazing food and the view it’s open until later afternoon/night really good and helpful stuff!!!
30/12/2025: After a long day of traveling, we ended the day at this restaurant — and it was a hit. This is the true definition of Tuscany: on the plate, in the glass, and in the view of the breathtaking landscape. The atmosphere, food, and wine were great, and I felt exceptionally comfortable here. I definitely recommend it.

18/11/2025: I had the four-cheese pizza with burrata and I really liked it. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I recommend it to everyone.
09/11/2025: We visited this restaurant during our stay in Siena. Everything was good, in the best sense of the word. The ribollita and pici were tasty, without too many frills, and they kept us company like an old friend who may not surprise, but never disappoints. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was quiet.
