Excellent accommodation in Capo Vaticano. The recently renovated and furnished rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is varied, offering both sweet and savory options. Dinner offers a variety of options, including a first course, second course (meat or fish), dessert, or fruit. The Calabrian dinner on Fridays is delicious, with live music. The location is ideal for reaching Grotticelle beach (we used the paid shuttle service), as well as visiting Tropea (easily reached by train), Pizzo Calabro, Zungri, and Riaci beach. A pleasant walk takes you to the Garden of the Gods to admire the sunset over Stromboli. We were able to admire it even from our room overlooking the pool (see photo). August 2025.

We're just finishing our stay at the hotel and are very pleased with the hotel, its location, and the excellent service. The food was delicious; we didn't have a chance to try dinner, but the atmosphere and aromas were very tempting. During our stay, a music evening was organized – fantastic. The rooms, hotel, and grounds were very clean – I felt almost at home. 🙂 I highly recommend the hotel also for its beautiful beach, which is accessible by local bus and a choo-choo train – a great attraction for children. The beach itself is so lovely that you won't need to look for another one. From the train station, which is a 15-minute walk from the hotel, you can visit the towns of Tropea and Scilla – highly recommended! I'll definitely be back...

Located in one of the most beautiful landscapes on the Costa degli Dei, Calabrisella is ideal for those wishing to spend a holiday in Tyrrhenian Calabria. The comfortable accommodations, excellent cuisine, and friendly, helpful staff are just some of the features that make this a truly memorable experience.

We've just returned from a two-week stay at the Hotel Calabrisella. We booked our vacation through the Itaka travel agency. The hotel is small, in a quiet area – keep in mind that Capo Vaticano is a tiny town with no historical sites to visit, and the larger city of Tropea requires a train. We didn't see any public transportation. The hotel is on a hill, and the beach is about a kilometer long, steep walkway down. Most of the time, there are no designated sidewalks. However, the hotel offers a paid shuttle service, beach pickup, and beach service. The rooms are clean, cleaned daily, with towels changed every other day and bed linen twice a week. Bath products and soap are constantly replenished. The staff mostly understands simple English. Breakfasts are repetitive, mostly sweet, but it's important to remember that Calabria is mostly frequented by Italians, and that's how they eat. We didn't have dinner, but it's quite late for Poles – at 7:00 PM. 8:30 PM - Other tourists commented that the dishes were constantly repetitive. The pool was large, uncrowded, and constantly cleaned, but you have to walk a few minutes outside the resort to get to it. The only supermarket in Capo is right next to the hotel, well-stocked, with mineral water at Polish prices, but food is more expensive. The main problem, which we weren't told about beforehand, and which the resident didn't know about, was that the reception desk is closed at night, and a Sunday flight from Wrocław would get us to Calabria around midnight. When we arrived, exhausted, we discovered that the hotel was empty, dark, and the phone behind the counter was constantly ringing. The bus driver tried to help us, but he didn't speak any English. Fortunately, there were other tourists with us who spoke Italian, and from the context, it turned out that the driver was supposed to hand us the keys and let us into our rooms. We haven't encountered this situation in a three-star hotel. And if there's no chance of a 24-hour reception, it would be good to organize some other key collection system. A major drawback for older people is the lack of an elevator, and access to the rooms requires access to the upper floor. However, we consider the entire trip a success. It was clean and pleasant, everyone was very kind, and the breakfasts were delicious and fresh. Thank you.

We stayed at this property with our almost 3-year-old son the second week of July, our first time in Calabria. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the common areas are well-maintained. Our room had a wonderful sea view, overlooking Stromboli. Dinner and breakfast can be enjoyed outside under a truly charming porch. Breakfast is varied and delicious, especially the chocolate cake. The food is delicious, always with a selection of seafood, and it was a wonderful evening of authentic Calabrian flavors! The staff are extremely kind and helpful; they made us feel right at home. Location: If, like us, you love variety and sightseeing, the Ricadi station is very close by, with convenient trains that serve the entire coast. Grotticelle beach can be reached by shuttle bus; we found the drivers to be friendly, but be careful about the return times: they can sometimes be very crowded! There's a convenient market near the hotel with excellent local produce, fruit and vegetables, and toiletries at reasonable prices. Oh, there's also a pool, but...we used it! It's wonderful here! We found everything we were looking for: silence, peace, excellent atmosphere of stay, pleasant impressions for the eye (wonderful views from the window and spacious balcony). All the staff of this cozy, intimate, family hotel are smiling and helpful. Near the hotel there is a nice, large, well-kept swimming pool with a large number of sunbeds and umbrellas. Today, i.e. 03.06 we are alone on it. The hotel offers free sunbeds on the beach and transfer to and from the beautiful beach. Modest but very tasty breakfasts. Attractive, varied 3-course a'la carte meals. 100% satisfaction. We recommend!

I spent a pleasant stay at the Calabrisella Hotel in the period of April 2025. The structure is beautiful, well-kept and very clean. Large spaces and a quiet, private location. Good dishes with a wide choice. Friendly, helpful, competent and professional staff. I definitely recommend this property.
