When hiking to the small Montiggler Lake, you absolutely have to stop at the self-service restaurant. The food is simple but excellent. And the surroundings, location, and atmosphere are first-class. I've been coming here since 1969!

We were pleasantly surprised by this idyllic setting! We hadn't seen the lakes before and had cycled from Bolzano to Kaltern many times. Great hiking and cycling paths. The food was delicious. It's self-service, but after all, we're on vacation and have time 😉. We'll be back!!

Almost unchanged since my childhood, but still top-notch! It's a self-service restaurant with excellent food at fair prices. Wait times are short and the menu is small. There's also plenty of choice for children. The staff is friendly and attentive.

A small lake, a quiet location, perfect for relaxing after a hike. And if you're a little peckish, there's something for everyone. We were satisfied and enjoyed ourselves very much.

Very nice bar restaurant on the shore of the small lake of Monticolo. Excellent and abundant food, only a small problem with drinking that being separate from eating you have to queue and wait. Kind staff

08/03/2025: Una baita bellissima lungo la pista che scende dal Seceda a Ortisei, al sole ma in mezzo al bosco; una cucina ricca, con tanti piatti squisiti (uova speck e patate e spatzle tra tutti); un servizio super veloce e cortese; un listino prezzi inferiore ad altre baite della zona; un’atmosfera vivace nel pomeriggio. Serve dire altro? Consigliatissima!
31/01/2025: Ogni volta che vengo a Ortisei, tappa obbligata. Questa volta tanta nel bosco, un paesaggio bellissimo per raggiungere la baita… Questo posto è bellissimo estate e inverno. Ogni volta un’occasione perfetta per un dolce o per un pranzo. Servizio ottimo e veloce. Location perfetta per rilassarsi fuori sugli sdrai al sole o in baita. Cibo ottimo e i proprietari tutti TOP. Prezzi assolutamente in linea alla qualità dell’offerta.

24/02/2026: A large restaurant where you can eat or drink until midnight (which is especially common on weekends). It's usually possible to get a table for two without a reservation, but it's recommended. They offer great Mexican dishes and a wide selection of pizzas, including some unusual varieties, all at very reasonable prices. It can get a bit chaotic when it's busy, but the staff makes up for it with humor and friendliness, and the wait times are perfectly acceptable.
23/02/2026: Delicious food and friendly service. Highly recommended.
