We were so thrilled with Capanna Genziana that we couldn't help but return two days in a row. A rare gastronomic experience, where Cansiglio tradition meets extraordinary research and attention to detail. The setting is enchanting and meticulously maintained: the beautiful stove not only warms the atmosphere but also delights the eyes, making lunch a truly relaxing experience. The absolute highlight is the wine list. The hand of a great enthusiast and connoisseur is clearly evident: the selection of labels and wineries is of excellent quality. We thoroughly enjoyed the Prosecco by the glass from Vigne Matte and the Cabernet from Cantina Pradelle Giovanni. The dishes are refined while remaining faithful to the flavors of the region: First day: a Pastin and a leg of lamb with polenta were simply fantastic. Second day: a venison steak with a red wine reduction and roasted potatoes, cooked to perfection. Desserts: A special mention goes to the white chocolate mousse with chestnut cream and chocolate crumble. As a lover of sweet treats that aren't cloying, I found it perfect: balanced and refined. We also had the Linzer. This dessert often risks being too heavy or too sweet, but here the chef's touch is very light. The pairing with the sugar-free fresh cream is perfect, balancing the spices and dried fruit. If you're looking for an authentic and not cloying dessert, this is the perfect choice. All the desserts are homemade (!) The prices are absolutely fair and reasonable for the quality offered. It's no surprise that the place is always busy: we recommend booking in advance. Five stars for the staff! Attentive and cheerful service, they really know how to make guests feel at ease. We will definitely be back. A must-visit for those seeking the best in Cansiglio!

A large chalet, offering traditional dishes, fast service, and reasonable prices. The atmosphere is pleasant and well-heated. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't have any special needs!

Good food and a warm welcome. I had the impression that the portions had decreased over the years. The pastries weren't up to par with the rest.

Truly excellent food with more than adequate portions at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a mountain cabin. The staff is courteous and very quick in serving despite the constant busyness of the place. On weekends, reservations are essential, otherwise it's impossible to find a table.

Good value, friendly and fast service even during busy times. Despite what's written on the menu, they offer several gluten-free options; just ask (the usual thing, as everywhere, they obviously don't have a separate kitchen, but they're very attentive). The potato pastrin was very good. A modest but convenient location, ideal after a long hike. I'll be back.

It's my lunch break when I pass by during my motorcycle ride. The food is very good, the prices are fair. The place is gorgeous, sunny, and relaxing.
