We stumbled upon it by chance, and it was a delightful surprise. We were immediately greeted with kindness and friendliness, and we savored the local specialties in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere typical of Trentino. The cuisine is traditional and the food is truly delicious: I personally recommend the charcoal-cooked spätzle, the dumplings, and the strudel (traditional recipe). The staff is truly attentive and friendly. And the prices are also very reasonable, considering the quality. We'll definitely be back!

We stopped for lunch on Monday, November 17th, ordering two first courses (ravioli), salad, dessert, and coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff were the icing on the cake. We hope to return soon!

08/01/2026: We stopped at the Ristobar for a lunch break on the slopes. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was good and tasty. We had sandwiches with luganega sausage (€7) and hot chocolate. Recommended for a break on the slopes, with average quality and prices. Another positive note: the owner (or the owner's son) noticed that some customers hadn't taken their change and had already left. He went over to return it, even though he could have kept it since the customers seemed to have forgotten about it.
08/01/2026: If you're on the slopes, this restaurant is a must-see! ❄️🍽️ The food is delicious and plentiful, and the staff is always kind and friendly. The owner even gave us candy for our children at the end of lunch, a gesture that made us feel truly at home. 🍬👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We've been returning to Vason for a couple of years, but a place this warm, friendly, and reasonably priced is hard to find. Highly recommended for families, skiers, and anyone looking for a relaxing break with good food! 🌟

07/01/2026: A very enjoyable walk. The setting was fantastic, with a truly remarkable view of the valley. However, it took us over an hour to eat just one dish, which was very good. We'd been warned it would take a while, but I didn't expect it to be that long. So I highly recommend making a reservation, but be patient or bring sandwiches.
04/01/2026: Just what we were looking for in a traditional mountain restaurant: a warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and above all, traditional and hearty dishes. In the winter, they can only be reached on foot, an hour's walk from the village of Ortisè, and it's worth it. The building and interior are well-maintained and convey a sense of mountain warmth, while all the dishes we ate were hearty and tasty, especially when paired with a nice glass of wine. The wait staff were always available even when the restaurant was busy, and the value for money was absolutely excellent. Highly recommended!
