It gets very crowded and noisy, especially during the ski season, as many school groups are there on their ski trips. It's a relatively good and inexpensive mountain hut with large portions! (One portion of hut macaroni is easily enough for two people.)

14/12/2025: One of the best mountain restaurants we've had on our many ski trips. Leagues ahead of the Austrian "gold mine" mass-production restaurants on their slopes. And the prices are reasonable too. Great atmosphere, modern wood design, large, clean restrooms that you don't have to trudge down to the basement in your ski boots to reach. Significantly better than Kronplatz, both inside and out. Standard menu, good food. It's worth the drive over from Gitschberg for a meal.
23/10/2025: The most beautiful restaurant for miles around, a fantastic menu with a wide selection, and above all, the service is the icing on the cake. Very attentive, hospitable, warm, and funny. The hosts are fantastic. You immediately feel at home. 🥰 Large portions at reasonable prices. Plenty of space in the restaurant and on the terrace. Cool restroom decor. Right next to the cable car mountain station.

18/12/2025: A stunning location: The mountain hut is nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, just a stone's throw from the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo peaks, at an altitude of approximately 2,200 meters above sea level. The views from the windows, terrace, and surrounding trails are pure gold and the perfect backdrop for Instagram photos. An ideal base for active people: The region offers a multitude of hiking trails of varying difficulty, from easy strolls to challenging trails (the Dolomites are high mountains, so a good level of fitness is essential!). Here, you can hike, backpack, and even birdwatch.
06/11/2025: Nice cabin, lots of people, prices are simply higher, but in the total heat you would give anything for a little water or juice. Part of the classic circuit, so you can stop here or move on.
