Breakfast was very poor. I expected tomatoes, cucumbers, and greens. There was no fruit except for apples. Only two types of cheese are insufficient for a 4-star hotel. The bread was all the same, dry and hard. The bakery section should have had a wider variety. They bring the coffee themselves, and you have to wait a while in the middle of breakfast. The rooms, however, were clean and tidy.

Historic hotel in the historic center of Lugo in a logistically perfect location. Large, bright rooms, the white color triumphs. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom with a modern and usable shower. Well heated. On the other hand, the rooms are a bit cold. The temperature is not manageable by the user. At night, the corridor light is always on and filters from under the door. Sensors and LEDs illuminate the room too much. The kettle and coffee machine in the room lose the fifth star for some small things that could be improved. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it. I would go back.

A piece of history visited by 1,000 celebrities, furnishings that exude history and speak to you. The room is spacious and comfortable. The only negative: it lacked a bathroom kit, shower cap, and disposable slippers (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars). The breakfast was plentiful in a super welcoming room. Overall, we were more than satisfied.

We stayed at this B&B on December 31st and had a simply excellent experience. The location is excellent, convenient, and strategic for easy access. The cleanliness is impeccable, with attention to every detail. The breakfast is extraordinary: rich, varied, and prepared with great care, truly exceeding our expectations. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Giovi, a precious presence: attentive to our every request, always available and kind, capable of making us feel welcomed and pampered, like at home. People like that truly make a difference and will remain in our hearts. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

My wife and I stayed and spent New Year's Eve at this hotel. We received a warm welcome and impeccable service. Manager Michele knows how to manage such an important establishment. Excellent organization, impeccable staff, and even the maitre d', Elio, were very friendly and helpful. In short, a four-star hotel through and through. Our beautiful and comfortable room was kept in perfect order every day without any pressure on the guest. We even left after 12:00 PM, and when we returned in the evening, it was perfect. This discovery will remain a constant reference point for us on our trips to Emilia Romagna. Lugo is a quiet town with the added benefit of hourly train connections to Bologna or Rimini, a unique convenience. We thank everyone for the wonderful time we spent on our holiday at L'ala D'oro. We will return, if only to relive the magnificent experience. If there were more stars, I would use them. Thank you for everything, and see you soon.
