The royal continental, a hotel I thought I wouldn’t like at first but that changed quickly. The breakfast was so nice as well as their location, the beach, the castle, the nearby shops, the gelato, all a 10/10. My only concern was them not having an iron, we requested it but to my surprise they said that they didn’t own any except one which is used for room service and extra charge. Other than that the hotel is perfect,
Update review, While I was surprised to find that ironing machines were not available, I later learned that this was due to a past incident which led management to discontinue the service as a safety precaution. I appreciate their concern for guest well-being, and I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that this decision was made with the best intentions in mind.

An exceptional location for an aperitif on a rooftop overlooking the sea. The welcome and service were impeccable, and the cocktails were also very good.

Average hotel at best. Great location. They initially put us in the smallest hotel room ive ever seen. We had no room to open our suitcases. After complaining, they moved us to a MUCH bigger room, which we greatly appreciated. Staff was not particularly friendly. One of two elevators didnt work, so the wait for the elevator was very long and we offen had to wait for several to come because there wouldnt be room on it. The power to our Room went out at midnight while packing to leave. After going downstairs to reception, they solved it within 15 minutes or so. Very average at best, could probably find better value for your money

We visited Naples and stayed in this hotel in April 2025 and it was a very plaesant stay. We have booked a room with a beautiful sea view, so we have had also a nice view on the castle. The rooms are very spacious, clean and stylish. Well overall the hotel is pretty stylish I have to say. There are many different paintings on the hallways, it really feels like an old school luxury hotel. I think that one floor is designed in the style of 1960s or something like that, so the rooms are pretty old school. On the top floor you have gym which is just an average hotel gym, however I really liked that there is a huge terrace in the gym, so you can take the dumbbells and workout on the top floor with the view on the Naples. On the top floor is also a pool, which was closed in April. Breakfast are rich, plenty of options to choose from. You can also eat your breakfast with a nice sea view. The hotel is not in the biggest city center which is in my opinion good, because the main street is always crowded. It is a very nice walk to the city center and also it is very nice to walk on the promenade near the sea and stop somwehere for a glass of wine or dinner. Even near the hotel you have a street with luxurious clothing brands, restaurants, souvenir shops etc. So the surroundings of the hotel is very nice too. The staff is pretty good, on the reception people are very friendly and when you arrive they take 10-15min to show you on a map what to visit in Naples. It is a very good option to visit this hotel in Naples.

Frequented for conferences, not for overnight stays. Excellent location and fantastic views, its only flaw is that it's not very modern aesthetically.

For what they’re charging, I would expect the condition of the rooms to be a bit higher than what we experienced. We stayed on the fifth floor, with a small balcony looking over the bay of Naples. The room size was fine, and the view fantastic, but the couch fabric was frayed, and there was significant corrosion on the metal on the bathtub fixtures, and the makeup lamp light was burned out and pulling away from the wall. They supplied us with some good quality instant coffee in the room, with ceramic cups, but there were no glasses supplied (only paper cups).
We needed a new lightbulb in the desk lamp and the bathroom mirror, and a second blanket, which was apparently a standard (the front desk told me to check in the closet for the second blanket), but was missing from our room. We had to call three times to get the blanket and never got the lightbulb until the next day when we stopped at the front desk.
To be fair, once we asked in person for the replacement bulb, they did send someone up immediately but were not able to replace the light in the makeup mirror or fasten it more securely into the wall. They gave us the option to switch rooms, which we declined.
The service staff was very polite and tried to be helpful, but they were quite busy. There was no front door person, and no assistance readily available for help with luggage.
Breakfast was in a beautiful sunny space, and there was a good selection of options for just about every appetite.
If I were to rate this hotel on a star system, they’d earn about a 3.5 star rating.

Great location. Friendly staff. Pleasant room was functional, good size and a lovely view over the water of the castle and capri. Comfortable bed. Would use again. Entrance is not pram or wheelchair friendly especially when they have the normal doors closed and only the revolving one is available. Pool is closed outside of summer which includes all of May. The breakfast is typically Italian (Italians don’t do breakfast), but is acceptable enough to get your day going and included in the price it was still welcome.
