We waited 45 minutes to be served. There was a piece of plastic in my plate. We addressed the issue and the owner just replied “it’s the plastic of the pizza”. We didn’t pursue it. Never returning. Terrible experience.

It is the third time we have lunch at Al Casale di Giuseppina and it will become a fixed appointment in our holidays. The food is really good, both from land and sea menus, and from starters to desserts everything has always been very good. The quality/price ratio is also excellent.

Overall, my last visit to Al Casale was a very positive experience that I would like to recommend. The atmosphere was inviting, the staff was extremely friendly, and the food was impressive. I was particularly impressed by the pasta with swordfish and eggplant, which was excellently prepared. The combination of flavors was successful and the pasta was cooked to perfection - a real treat!
I also really liked the taste of the seafood salad. The fresh ingredients were perfectly balanced and ensured a harmonious taste experience. One point of criticism, however, concerns the use of surimi in this dish. Surimi is a highly processed industrial product made from fish scraps with artificial flavors and colors added to make it look like crab meat. In a dish that highlights fresh and natural ingredients, surimi seems out of place and detracts from the quality standards. Here I would recommend using more natural alternatives such as shrimp or crab meat, which could add more sophistication to the dish.
Despite this suggestion for improvement, my visit to Al Casale was extremely satisfactory. However, overall I only give it 4 out of 5 stars. A note on the menu regarding the use of surimi would have been the minimum to provide transparency to guests. Still, I will definitely come back to try more dishes and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The peppered mussels with lemon were among the best mussels I have ever eaten! And I've eaten a lot of them in my life... The spaghetti with seafood was also very good. Generous portions, and very good price! I strongly recommend this restaurant
