Ristorante Agriturismo Calamate In Gallipoli

A wonderful location surrounded by greenery, just a stone's throw from Gallipoli, a rustic establishment offering simple yet refined dishes. The quality of the food is excellent, from the appetizers to the first and second courses. The antipasto was rich and delicious, and the first courses were excellent. We opted for the meat course, which was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. We were very satisfied.

We were thrilled with the cuisine, service, and location at Calamate. We stayed in Gallipoli for 12 days, and we ate there four times. It was undoubtedly the best dinners of the entire trip. The appetizer selection—the burratina, the homemade orecchiette, and the bombette (which we tried breaded and baked here)—were all exceptional, as were the grilled red tuna and the pasta with scampi. The ingredients are excellent, and the price, in my opinion, perfectly in line with what's on offer. If you're in Gallipoli, it's worth a visit!

Excellent food, a very beautiful and well-maintained location, but the access road is unpaved and unlit. The least pleasant aspect was the owner, or whoever seemed to be the owner. He was kind but not at all friendly; ordering with him was like running a marathon. He made it clear he had no time to waste, albeit politely. There was no opportunity to comment on the dishes or anything else related to the dinner. The waiters were very nice. As mentioned, the food was truly excellent, especially the orecchiette.

I dined at this well-maintained restaurant, nestled in unexpected greenery in Gallipoli. The olive oil they produce is exceptional, and the traditional Apulian dishes are made with excellent ingredients. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Very expensive for what the restaurant offers. Extremely simple menu... prices a bit out of line. Fast and efficient service. Beautiful country-chic location.
