I had dinner at Ristorante Bar La Fontanella on September 5 th. Erasmo and Luigi are exceptionnel hosts, their service exceeded my expectations. The food was fresh and very well prepared. I walked 1.5 km to and from this restaurant and all I can say is that it was worth the detour. I highly recommend it 20 out of 10. I only hope to have the possibility to return. When you arrive at the "La Fontanella" restaurant, you immediately have the feeling of being in an enchanting TV location where the car park is immediately in front of the bar, while the large garden with gazebo frames the restaurant room where at dusk you can appreciates pleasant lighting until the intense blue of the sky frames a truly enchanting, dream-like scenography... where the dream becomes reality or when the starters of very fresh fish with delicate flavors arrive which herald the first courses of pasta with the simple flavors of the sea... not to mention the fish main courses of which we recommend the "baked croaker" flavored with the aromas of the adjacent strictly organic family garden. To tourists on holiday in Formia south of the Pontine coast, I hope to spend a few hours at the "La Fontanella" restaurant to enjoy the serene and peaceful air and the flavors of genuine cuisine, also for celiacs and vegans. Surely tourists and holidaymakers will appreciate the beautiful family management of Erasmo and Gianna. In the kitchen there is the "conductor Luigi" who takes care of and refines the always delicate flavors in continuous experimentation. In fact, Luigi's art of cooking involves continuous re-elaboration in interpreting the tastes of customers. The courtesy in the room is impeccable thanks to Angela and Valentina. For the prices I can say that they are honest and lower than average.
