Excellent platter in a lovely spot near the woods. The owner is a special guy; I liked him even if he was a bit gruff. When I asked where the restroom was, he replied, "There's a sign there." I then mentioned how good the speck was, and he replied brusquely, "I know." Aahhhh.

We parked our grandma here and then enjoyed a delicious meal together after the hike. Super friendly host, great service, and a fantastic latte macchiato!

Great location, delicious food, a mountain hut just like you'd imagine. The comments about the unfriendly hut owner are amusing... what's wrong with you? You all want a rustic hut, but if the owner is a bit rustic, it doesn't fit either? Things are sometimes a little different up on the mountain... We think he's cool. 👍

A rustic hut, a nice, friendly host, and a meal – you'll be right there! A wonderful farmer's omelet with onions, cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and eggs. All that's missing afterward is a comfortable sofa – and my wife's Kaiserschmarrn, a poem, wonderfully fluffy, with eggs from happy hens. You can enjoy all this on a wonderfully sun-drenched terrace. Lovely playground for children, wonderfully quiet, beautiful view. You could really spend the whole day here. We'd love to come back and wish the hosts all the best and good luck. Keep up the good work!

A mountain hut from another time.

A beautiful mountain hut, an easy one-hour walk from the Kircheben car park in Meltina. The walk is mostly through the woods, in the shade, on a well-marked trail that continues to other destinations (Stone Men, Möltnek Kaser mountain hut, etc.). Hearty dishes typical of South Tyrolean tradition, homemade cakes, and homemade butter. Prices are average.

We went here for lunch after a 2 hour hike. We got a table and was handed the meny immediately. The place is situated in a slope and the atmosphere is really cozy. The waiter was almost alone and was quite busy, but friendly and service minded! We got the food and it was really good, made with a good touch! Prices were on the lower side. Definitely worth a stop during the hike!!

Very unfriendly service because we asked for something. They are older. You are not allowed to ask anything, immediately given a rude response from the host.
