The Rifugio Maria al Sass Pordoi, located at 2,950 meters above sea level, is an unmissable destination for mountain motorcyclists. Reachable by arriving at the Pordoi Pass, it offers a spectacular view of the Dolomites, which makes for a regenerating stop. The atmosphere is welcoming, perfect for a relaxing break. Place at around 3000 meters where you can refresh yourself surrounded by a unique scenery to see. Attentive service, it's a shame that in the dish I ordered you could only taste the cream. It should be abolished from the kitchens and it wasn't written that it was among the ingredients, but if you're very hungry after a hike you can ignore it.

We had lunch here after our walk at high altitude and if it is clear that hunger at three thousand meters in the mountains is the same as at sea level, here the panorama is certainly much wider (clouds permitting)... Ample space both inside and outside for those he prefers it.

Just sitting at the terrace of this place is enough. The view is stunning. But then, you try the food and find it fantastic! The deer steak was cooked to perfection (bloody enough). This risotto was also very good. Prices are a little bit high, but the lunar setting justifies it.

Impeccable refuge, we ate a remarkable venison carpaccio and a really well made and tasty porcini mushroom pasta.
All in mid-August, with a notable turnout of people.
I highly recommend, the wine list and desserts are also good.
