A true refuge. Stunning views. The hike to get there is beautiful. Keep your eyes peeled, there are marmots.

We had lunch outside for two, with polenta, sausage, and mushrooms. Everything was delicious, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. After lunch, we rested on a deck chair with a spectacular view.

Very pleasant place. Fantastic view. Friendly and helpful staff. The terrace outside is perfect both before and after hiking. Very pleasant dining room and good food for meals. Dormitory for eight people with quite a lot of space, but a bit hot and with little ventilation. Recommended!

12/08/2025: A very nice hut on the Mendel. Despite the lack of a view, we had a very nice meal here. The prices are reasonable, and we received a very warm welcome. I had the Kaiserschmarrn, which was excellent.
12/08/2025: After making the wise decision not to stop at Rifugio Romeno, we received a very friendly welcome on our way back. The service was friendly and very attentive, and the food was excellent and freshly prepared! Every waiter and waitress wished us bon appetit as they passed us. We'd be happy to return!
