Excellent restaurant...as recommended, we reached the farm from the center of San Giovanni, not from small roads suitable for bicycles, as the GPS suggested. An experience worth repeating.

Stop by for lunch! Excellent menu, especially the off-menu venison with polenta and sauerkraut, which was plentiful! Fast, efficient service!

Nice place, friendly and helpful service and good and plentiful dishes. To get there, follow the asphalt road to S. Giovanni and do not rely on Google Maps which sends you to non-existent roads for cars.

13/09/2025: On our hike from Ruffré to the Mendel Pass, we first passed the fairly busy Halbweg Hut. We then decided to continue a bit further to the Enzian Hut, and our decision was absolutely right. There, we received a very friendly welcome and were able to enjoy the fantastic food in peace. We also had a delicious elderflower spritzer made from homemade elderflower syrup. Highly recommended!
13/09/2025: The service was very friendly and polite, hence the 4 stars. However, the bacon dumpling soup tasted of nothing: The broth tasted like Maggie's broth, which only used half the amount of cubes recommended on the package, and the dumplings were slimy on the outside, as if they'd been individually wrapped in plastic wrap. Even the bacon in the dumplings tasted completely useless. We went there specifically because, based on a recommendation, we wanted to enjoy some hearty South Tyrolean cuisine again. What a shame.

Pizzeria Capriccio

07/11/2025: We stopped here while driving towards Austria. We had a good pizza and paid a fair price. Pizza here is very thin and if you are hungry you might need to get two. The venue is very simple, you can either eat your pizza there to take it away.
28/10/2025: Excellent pizza with various doughs and lactose-free mozzarella.
