Rifugio Panormo In Ottati

I've been coming here for a few years but the management changed and I happened upon a themed evening so I reserve the right to change my rating next time.

I go there often with my family. The mountain scenery is fantastic, and the food at the refuge is excellent. Friendly staff and breathtaking views.

At the Panormo Refuge (named after the nearby, highest peak in the Alburni massif), at over 1,300 meters above sea level, you can enjoy delicious local cuisine beneath the majestic Alburni beech trees and be welcomed with care and warmth. The refuge overlooks vast pastures and is close to beautiful trails (many of which are CAI-certified and of national and European importance) that crisscross the surrounding woods. It's an excellent location for reaching the spectacular panoramic peaks of the Alburni. Highly recommended!

A magical place where the lack of cell phone coverage allows you to fully immerse yourself in the splendor of the beech forest. Authentic food and friendly hosts.

They welcomed us even though they were closed, offered us coffee and showed us around the refuge. We will return for dinner and overnight stay.
