Rifugio P. Marchetti allo Stivo In Arco

I went up to the Stivo refuge for a day trek. The route was very beautiful and a little tiring, but nothing excessive, about 2 hours of walking starting from the Passo di Santa Barbara. Along the path the view that opens up on Riva del Garda and Vallagarina is incredible. Once you get to the top, the view is even more spectacular: from there you can see Lake Garda, the Brenta Dolomites and other peaks of Trentino. At the refuge, just below the cross (the summit), I drank a very good beer. The staff was very welcoming, and I found the refuge a perfect place to relax before continuing the descent. Definitely an experience to repeat, both for the breathtaking view and for the peaceful atmosphere of the refuge.

A refuge that welcomes you in a warm and family atmosphere, the young people who run it are super friendly and the dishes they offer are excellent. It is wonderful to experience these realities managed by young people who are passionate about the mountains and respectful of the nature that hosts us. Thank you

Equipped and welcoming refuge located just below the summit. Typical dishes with generous portions. Very beautiful view of the valley and the Adamello and Brenta chains. Trail E can also be traveled in winter with the necessary precautions and equipment. Friendly and helpful staff.

We visited the peak and the trails around the refugee, amazing landscape, easy route, approx. 2 hours from the parking place. However the refugee was still full of guests in last days of October.

The refuges here in the area enjoy a privileged view and a position that allows for large numbers of people but in terms of overall management and structure it does not deserve 5 stars because it is the only refuge where you pay immediately. As soon as you place your order you have to pay. In my opinion (I visit several refuges in a year) it is rude. You cannot charge before setting the table or bringing a glass of water. The response from the staff who says people run away and don't pay doesn't fit I don't believe it, otherwise it means either that they aren't careful in managing it, or that the other shelters are idiots who don't notice that people are running away. In my opinion this ....... is 1 negative thing and the only flaw. Another strong point besides the location is the sbrisolona cake with amaretto cream. Well I haven't eaten a cake this good for years and like me my friends too in fact we ate 3 slices each. It's very good The staff were excellent and fast

A nice place to visit and eat and drink...the locals are always welcoming and kind.
