Very beautiful refuge for the breathtaking and unique view of the Bellagio peninsula and Lake Como. The food is typical of a mountain refuge and still good! The climb takes place along two paths, the upper and lower routes, I followed the latter which is of moderate difficulty. You can park either in the Breglia mountains, costing €3 to travel along the road or in Breglia (but from here the route is longer than 3km uphill) Absolutely recommended place for those who love walking

We spent a night at the refuge, the last Sunday of the season, and there were only two of us with no other customers. We ate for lunch and the food was excellent at a reasonable price. Then we ate in the evening and Greta, the manager, welcomed us wonderfully. He made pizzoccheri for us even though it was just the two of us... It was delicious and the service was great. Greta is really adorable. We'll be back!

Fantastic experience, first car park in the village of Plesio ticket cost 3 euros then you start to climb, there is a second car park going up towards the refuge practically at the end of the asphalt road, dirt road but if you don't get there early it's almost impossible to find a place. From here begins an excursion of medium difficulty through the woods towards Monti di Breglia. By following the Menaggio refuge signs and using a mule track you can get to the top from where you can admire a postcard of a stupendous panorama, a magnificent view. The effort to get to the top is rewarded by this spectacle. Possibility of having lunch at the refuge, enjoying a well-deserved rest lying on the lawn, good polenta served in various dishes, good managers who served all the guests with great patience, kind and helpful staff. Worth visiting.

04/01/2025: This is a jewel! An absolute fantastic experience by a family run enterprise guarantee to give you an excellent service wether it is accommodation or fantastic food or both. Highly recommend.
02/01/2025: We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights over New Year 2025 which we initially chose for its ideal location. It is located right opposite the ferry pier which allowed us to get around easily and make the most of our stay. The rooms are comfortable and we were lucky enough to have a partial view of the lake. There you will find everything you need to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff is the greatest asset of this hotel. Always smiling, professional and ready to respond to the slightest request, they knew how to make our stay even more pleasant. We feel that it is a family hotel in all their little touches. Parking is a real plus and the food for breakfast and dinner is very good. In summary, this hotel perfectly combines comfort and quality service. We recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking to fully enjoy their stay on Lake Como.

La Fagurida

07/12/2024: You really must dine at La Fagurida! My husband and I got married in Lake Como this summer and we hosted our rehearsal dinner at this lovely restaurant. We live in the US and had never visited the restaurant before, so it was a bit of a risk, but it was beyond perfect - there isn’t a single thing we would change about our experience. Lello was so wonderful to work with and he and his staff made everything so special for us and our guests. The food is AMAZING. Beef filet, rabbit, and all the local fare was absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced for our party. The food is some of the best and most authentic in the area, and the ambiance is cozy and feels like home and the view of the lake is breathtaking. I hope if you’re looking for a delicious, authentic, charming place to eat in Tremezzo, you visit La Fagurida. We can’t wait to go back on our next trip to Lake Como!
23/11/2024: Very nice place both in winter with the closed veranda and in summer with the terraces overlooking the lake... Housed in a very characteristic stone house. The rabbit and polenta are recommended
