I loved the refuge. The staff was smiling and welcoming. There were four of us, plus our dog. The place is pet-friendly, so you can bring your four-legged friends along without leaving them at home. I'm from Rome but live in London. The polenta with melted Bettelmat Alpe Regina cheese on top was divine. I loved everything about it: the location, the food, the interior. At the entrance, they even have jars of homemade local products, if you want to take a souvenir of the valley.

We had lunch and enjoyed the best food you could ask for. The atmosphere is simple and welcoming, with an open fireplace where polenta is cooked in a pot. The ingredients are amazing and perfectly cooked. If you love polenta, you absolutely must try theirs; you won't find it this good anywhere else. The prices are fair.

We went on the recommendation of some family members who have been customers for years, and we weren't disappointed! Everyone was satisfied with the lunch, even the less "polentoni" ones ;)
Good selection of desserts; you won't be left empty-handed with those either.

We arrived on a Sunday without a reservation, so we had to wait about twenty minutes. This is completely understandable, as the place is quite popular, so I recommend booking in advance.
The place was definitely worth the wait. The four of us had the meat tasting menu (venison, wild boar, fondue, bruscit, snails, etc.) with polenta for €17 each, excluding drinks and cover charge. Superb value.
We were truly satisfied with both the quality and quantity. Thanks to the staff for the excellent service and the welcoming atmosphere!

Excellent food, excellent service. There's a homey atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly. Easily accessible by car, it's located at the edge of a forest that's perfect for a peaceful stroll.
