Absolutely recommended! The family makes the stay really special in this incredibly beautiful location and in the super cozy hut!

2024 We were there again and it was great again. Even though there were a lot of guests, the service and food were again excellent. The climb to the Chemnitzer Hütte is worth it :-) 2023 I can only agree with the many positive reviews. I have rarely experienced such warm hosts, the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable and the service is absolutely top. We have already been to a few huts in South Tyrol, but we felt most comfortable here.

Beautiful experience, super staff, lovely place

Giunti al rifugio dopo una relativamente breve passeggiata dal lago di neves ( 1 ora e 10' circa ) ad ora di pranzo.... Ottima la Wiener Schnitzel ( o meglio la cotoletta alla milanese!!) e l'accoglienza Meglio di così...

The Chemnitzerhütte is a real “highlight” for all mountain lovers and hikers. The “Chemnitz” shelter is located in one of the most beautiful places and resting places on the Nevesjoch in the Ahrntal, the coordinates are: 46.957138, 11.808728. A stay in the Chemnitzerhütte is highly recommended and worthwhile, ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy relaxation and comfort. The cuisine is excellent, the food deserves high praise, as does the stay in the pleasant, attractive and nice small rooms. I can highly recommend the Chemnitzerhütte for anyone who is looking for relaxation and relief from a stressful everyday life and who would like to enjoy a lot of hospitality.

Super nice staff and a hut owner who knows his way around the surrounding mountains. At half past ten in the morning we had fantastic Linzers slices fresh from the oven.

Giunti in auto al lago di Neves (Lappago), oltre 1.800 metri, siamo partiti per questa bellissima escursione. Il sentiero non è difficile ma sale gradatamente. Nel tragitto si incontrano mucche e si avvistano marmotte. L’arrivo a oltre 2.400 metri è emozionante e con una vista spettacolare. Il rifugio è piccolo ma si pranza anche all’esterno. Ottimo lo Strudel!

Excellent food, I recommend following the forest road if you start from Lake Neves to get to the refuge, this way you avoid the path in the woods which is much steeper. Very suggestive walk
