The Chemnitzerhütte is a real “highlight” for all mountain lovers and hikers. The “Chemnitz” shelter is located in one of the most beautiful places and resting places on the Nevesjoch in the Ahrntal, the coordinates are: 46.957138, 11.808728. A stay in the Chemnitzerhütte is highly recommended and worthwhile, ideal for those who want to enjoy relaxation and comfort. The cuisine is excellent, the food deserves high praise, as does the stay in the pleasant, attractive and nice small rooms. I can highly recommend the Chemnitzerhütte for anyone who is looking for relaxation and relief from a stressful everyday life and who would like to enjoy a lot of hospitality.

Super nice staff and a hut owner who knows his way around the surrounding mountains. At half past ten in the morning we had fantastic Linzers slices fresh from the oven.

Excellent food, I recommend following the forest road if you start from Lake Neves to get to the refuge, this way you avoid the path in the woods which is much steeper. Very suggestive walk

Stayed during the ascent of Grosser Moseler carried out on 07/09/24. Very nice, helpful and engaging managers. Well-kept refuge. Wide range of excellent food. Different types of rooms. Comfortable beds with blankets. Wonderful location. At sunset the marmots come very close to the refuge to look for food and be admired.

Beautiful mountain refuge reachable from Lake Neves (paid parking on the lake side, cash only!) or from Rio Bianco. Good food and generous portions (the breaded cutlet is huge!). Being above 2400 meters above sea level it is often windy so it is better to have adequate clothing.

We arrived from Lappacher Joch and were immediately welcomed and looked after. Very hospitable, delicious food with a hut-appropriate, good price-performance ratio. The entire hut is quaint and clean. Slippers are provided and do not need to be brought with you when staying overnight. We immediately felt comfortable and welcome and can only recommend the Chemnitzer Hütte! Thank you for the wonderful time with you!
