Simply a place and environment that I love!

I thought Matteo was impossible to replace, but I was wrong: the family—cook Jessica, woodcutter Fabio, and daredevil Elias—has managed to further improve the look and cuisine of this truly delightful place with a spectacular view of Lake Maggiore. Reservations are essential (there are no refrigerators, and groceries are made fresh and based on the number of guests booked). This year, you'll also find the legendary Feijoa, whose jam pairs wonderfully with goat's and cow's milk cheeses aged in hay.

A warm welcome and passionate staff. These are the essential ingredients for a mountain lunch, and there's no shortage of them here. The food is delicious, plentiful, and traditional.

I stopped here during a hike. The cake and coffee were delicious, and the owners were very friendly. Water was free. Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, according to the notice board. Highly recommended.
