Rifugio Ciampac In Canazei

We only had lunch at Ciampac on the last day of our vacation, which is a shame! The place is strategically located at the top of the cable car. It's family-run, with the elderly owner still wandering around the tables greeting customers and helping the staff. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, considering the competition: cheese spaetzle, tagliatelle with venison, and Sachertorte (delicious!!!). Compliments for the food and service.

A quick lunch at the self-service restaurant with super reasonable prices compared to other self-service restaurants around the slopes. The only downside is the slow service, but that's only because they prepare many items freshly.

A lovely restaurant. They also have a menu in Arabic. The food is delicious, especially the Margherita pizza. The staff are incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful. Thank you.

Let's get this straight: the place is in a fabulous location, one of those views that alone is worth the stop. It's a simple refuge, made for a quick break between ski trips, and that's why it works: you pop in, grab a bite, and head back out onto the snow. The staff is quick and sometimes, if you catch them at the right time, even attentive. However, I think they could make a real difference with a little more effort. The food is fast, but you can tell they use a lot of frozen food; with slightly fresher ingredients, they'd make a great impression. Even the people behind the counter sometimes seem a little nervous, in the rush. I understand the noise of the crowded place, but a smile doesn't cost anything. All in all, for a quick sandwich, it's more than enough, and the prices are fair. They have a jewel in their hands; it would just need a little polishing.

The game tagliatelle are delicious, and the charcuterie board is excellent. The only small flaw is the music, which is too loud for a mountain restaurant.

We had lunch on August 15th, so the service was a bit slow, but they were very courteous and quick to bring the food. Everything was delicious and the prices were fair!
