Rifugio alpino Grauzaria In Moggio udinese

I'm back here after many years. The refuge has changed, but the feeling is the same. This mountain is fantastic, and the girls at the refuge are no exception, with good food and friendly service. They're great! I plan to return soon.

First time at the refuge. From the parking lot, an easy and pleasant trail. The refuge's view of Grauzaria and the Sphinx at sunset was splendid. Excellent dinner, with a special mention for the desserts. We stayed overnight and, after a good breakfast, set off for Sernio via the normal route. On the way back, we stopped at the refuge again for a delicious lunch (we were really looking forward to it, given the previous evening's expectations). The managers were kind and helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The refuge was clean and well-kept. Congratulations.

We arrived at this beautiful refuge after a trek that wasn't exactly easy, as most people describe it. It's true that I'm not trained, but starting from the Moggio Udinese parking lot, you have to hike 4.5 km, all uphill (500 m elevation gain), without ever walking on flat ground. Part of the trail is in the woods, another part more exposed to the sun. The terrain is mostly gravel and rocks, and at one point you even have to cross a somewhat crumbling gully. For me, it was anything but easy... Both the climb and the descent (for the same reason as the climb). When we got there, however, we were welcomed by tables and benches, a gazebo, deckchairs, and a hammock... And so much friendliness and kindness. We only had drinks and desserts, which were truly excellent and enormous!!! Here too, as with the rest of the trail, there's no signal, so it's best to bring cash.

A quiet place, a bit of a challenging climb, but fortunately the climb is shaded, passing through the woods. 500 meters of elevation gain. But when you arrive, it's a beautiful refuge, the staff are friendly, and the place feels great.

The refuge was very nice and well-kept. We ate well and spent a fair amount. The two girls who I believe run the refuge were kind and friendly.

A day hike starting from the Moggio-Pontebba provincial road. The trail is beautiful, the first stretch is beneath the forest, then opens up with views of the Crete and the "sphinx." The staff are very friendly, the food is excellent, including the goulash. Payment is in cash, and they also sell the refuge's colorful t-shirts. Congratulations. A pleasant and quiet place, but it's a shame about the constant barking of some Sunday visitors' dogs.

Simply Super; very beautiful refuge, welcoming, excellent outdoor space. Friendly and competent staff, excellent food. If you don't take advantage of the hospitality, you're crazy! ☺️
