Rina and Gaetano are wonderful people, along with their daughter, who helps in the kitchen and makes a huge contribution to this business, which started purely by chance, thanks to a location highlighted on the map by a German tourist.
A wonderful place, it's practically like coming to your aunt/grandmother's house, who welcomes you warmly and offers you good, wholesome food, prepared with love—I can't explain it any other way. Not only do they use produce from their garden, but they also put in a lot of work and dedication, especially considering that farmers no longer enjoy the benefits they once did, and it's a profession that's slowly disappearing.
You arrive at their house, there's even space to park your car, and you find yourself in a beautiful, pristine setting. Next door, you can visit their goats, chickens, rabbits, and many other pets. If you're traveling with children, they'll be delighted. We adults were amazed, let alone the kids.
The dining room is simple, but what matters is the company and the good food. Inside the dining room, there are six tables. Both times we came, there were other diners, and the atmosphere created a welcoming atmosphere, where we chatted and even joked.
Rina offers exquisite appetizers: we tried olives in oil from her garden, delicious dried tomatoes, caponata, scacciate with potatoes and very fresh ricotta from their own production, or scacciata with spinach and ricotta, delicious bread, fresh ricotta cheese served on the side, and focaccia with their own tomatoes. What can I say, everything was perfect. All the food was prepared that day, starting with the bread dough, scacciate, and ending with delicious cannoli made on the spot.
I'll just say that the first time we came, we said we wanted to try the coponata, and Rina promised to make it. Imagine the surprise when we came the second time! 💚
For our first course, Rina had rolled out the ravioli dough just beforehand, so everything was made to order, with their delicious tomato sauce.
We were also lucky enough to try the rabbit stew. The meat was tender and flavorful.
It's worth going and having this unforgettable experience; you won't regret it.

It was a wonderful experience with a very welcoming hostess. A set menu with homemade dishes, the ricotta was fresh and delicious. Homemade ravioli, cheese, olives, pizza, bread, tomatoes, wine, and water—we thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything tasted great. Thank you for the lovely evening.
