Passing through this summer, excellent food and pleasant service. In a nice neighborhood. I recommend it.

I thought the first courses were a bit too generous (though better than too little). I would have happily ordered dessert, but I was too full. The passatelli, for my taste, tasted a bit too lemony. Overall, a great evening, with excellent atmosphere and staff.

The atmosphere is nice, basic, not particularly sophisticated, but still pleasant and appropriate for the setting. The food, in my opinion, is truly excellent (spaghettoni creamed with whipped butter and lime, wild salmon), and the portions are quite small, especially for the dessert (mascarpone). The spoon they brought us to eat it was almost bigger than the dessert itself. The prices are normal, except for the small portions. I recommend increasing them; with just a little more, you'd make a really good impression.

Siamo tornati a cena in questo ristorante, nel cuore del borgo San Giuliano, ma fuori dalla confusione, presente nella zona del ponte Tiberio. Abbiamo gustato ed apprezzato molto le cozze, che in questa stagione sono grosse e piene; così come i gamberi al Curry, su crema di Hummus di ceci. Poi lo spaghettone con salmone e crumble di verdure e pane bruschettato: notevole. Buoni vini. Spesa nella media, in epoca post Covid. Prenotazione consigliata.

Partiamo dalla location in cui si trova il ristorante: siamo a Borgo San Giuliano a Rimini, una frazione della famosa località balneare romagnola che di per sé è già una vera eccellenza urbanistica. Il ristorante ha tavoli esterni nella quiete del borgo e in estate la cena è davvero piacevole. Servizio professionale, attento, puntuale ma mai invadente. La cucina è marinara con alcune rivisitazioni al quanto interessanti come per esempio i Gamberi scottati al curry. Volendo provare invece un antipasto locale fatto a regola d’arte consiglio la Piada con sardoncini alla griglia, un must per chi sa apprezzare la cucina romagnola in cui tradizione, bontà e semplicità si fondono piacevolmente. I sardoncini vanno mangiati in mezzo alla piadina con verdure e cipolla interi, senza spinarli, mi raccomando. Ottima pure la Coda di rospo alle erbe, un antipasto lineare ma estremamente gustoso, in estate con le alte temperature direi un piatto perfetto. Tra i secondi ho trovato interessanti gli Spiedini misti alla griglia che qui al Retroborgo oltre ai consueti gamberi e calamari che trovi ovunque, sono aggiunti anche filetti di cernia e gallinella. Un idea leggermente innovativa che dà finalmente respiro al classico spiedino di pesce che per quanto possa essere buono, necessita di una botta d’innovazione. Volendo poi affiancare al tutto un bianco tipico delle colline di Rimini, direi che il vitigno più indicato è uno solo, una bottiglia di rebola e vai col liscio.
