Restaurant Ansitz zum Steinbock In Villandro

We went to Ansitz Steinbock for fine dining. Definitely worth a visit. Very cozy atmosphere, friendly service. And most importantly, the food was truly exceptional. Here you can definitely discover new taste sensations, including the "wow factor" that, in my opinion, fine dining should have. Both the wine and non-alcoholic beverage pairings were well-chosen and of high quality. And all this at an absolutely fair price-performance ratio, especially compared to other restaurants.

We had lunch at Ansitz Steinbock today. The service was attentive, the wine list was lovely with some great selections (also available by the glass), the atmosphere was wonderful, and the tagliolini with white truffle was outstanding. We'd love to come back. ❤️

A gem, this is the Steinbock! A romantic and refined castle, discreet and welcoming in Villandro, just 10 minutes from Chiusa. A historic 15th-century residence where we will definitely return. We immediately felt at home. The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to try the cuisine, but we definitely will. Take a journey back in time without sacrificing the comforts of today.

Wonderful!!! A fantastic castle in a stunning setting, with a panoramic and strategic location, about 30 minutes from both Bolzano and Bressanone. AMAZING BREAKFAST!!! Excellent products, top-quality, and the option to choose from specialties on the menu! If I really had to find a flaw, a tiny criticism would be the televisions in the rooms. It would be nice to have Smart TVs for those evenings when it's too cold and you want to stay in your room to enjoy the scenery and a movie.

A wonderful stay at the Ansatz Steinbrück! The historic building is not only a true gem from the outside, but is also beautifully modernized and tastefully furnished inside. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and exude a pleasant, feel-good atmosphere. I would especially like to highlight the hostess, Elisabeth – incredibly warm, attentive, and always accommodating. You feel welcome and well looked after from the very first moment. A real highlight is the fine dining restaurant: The new, young head chef brings a breath of fresh air to the kitchen, and the creations blend perfectly with the elegant ambience of the hotel. The whole experience is rounded off by consistently professional and attentive service. In short: a place where history, modern comfort, warmth, and culinary excellence come together. Highly recommended – 5 stars!

Beautiful well-kept property, it was a culinary delight

Beautiful hotel with perhaps the best hotel breakfast we've ever had. Very fresh, lots of variety, and a very sweet host. The hotel is spotlessly clean, has a beautiful view, and excellent service. It smelled wonderful everywhere. We're on our honeymoon and were surprised with a bottle of bubbly and chocolates in our room! We enjoyed them together with a view of the mountains. Thank you so much for that!!! Parking is also easy and pleasant. Points to keep in mind: If you have difficulty climbing stairs, the hotel can be challenging, especially with heavy suitcases. We had the fine dining menu in the hotel restaurant. Although the food itself was delicious, and the service was very friendly and good, we found the dinner a bit expensive (€475 for two people). We give it 5 stars because of the peaceful location, lovely people, and beautiful decor.
