Chalet Rasciesa In Ortisei

A spectacular sight; the landscape is beautiful, the combination of the Dolomites and the little houses with their wooden roofs and full of flowers is very beautiful.

The cable car ride itself is a small adventure – especially if you sit right at the front and dare to gaze down into the depths. If you're not afraid of heights, you'll love the view even during the ride! The prices, however, are less pleasant: For an adult and a seven-year-old child, you pay a hefty €56. The lady at the ticket office could have been a bit friendlier too – she apparently didn't think it was appropriate for us to sit down on the bench before buying our tickets. After the steep hike from the parking garage (it's really quite uphill!), we just needed a moment to catch our breath. Once at the top, however, the slight annoyance is quickly forgotten. The view is simply breathtaking – mountains as far as the eye can see, and a feeling of freedom that is hard to describe. An absolute highlight! If you like, you should definitely plan the leisurely walk to the summit cross. At around 1.5 hours (if you take it easy), the trail is easily manageable and leads through beautiful alpine scenery. Just before the summit cross, the rustic Raschötz Alpine Hut awaits hungry hikers, and right at the mountain station, you can also stop for a bite to eat and round off the day. We were there at the end of August.

Excellent views of the valley on the way up and down. The ride was uneventful. Unfortunately, the cost is too high.

Worth the trip to the top for the views. Nice and efficient.

Seilbahn Raschötz - Funicular Mountain Rail Car in Ortisei, Italy - Stats: 2402 m (7881 ft) in length and rise of 818 m (2684 ft) in elevation, 25% grade, opened in 2010. Recommend going up to hike Rasciesa di Fuorio. Great views.

Fast cable car up to the top, different from a gondola, where you can hike without much effort, at least that's how I feel... over the Innerraschötz to the Brogles Hut

Very scenic, especially when you reach the terminus. The crowds are growing, and many are just taking photos. The price is moderately high, starting from Ortisei and then taking the cable car first.

A fun ride up the cable train. Good views of Ortisei on the way. Easy walks at the top. Incredible views in all directions. We hiked down later in the day, which was a good way to get an alternate perspective without the hard climb

Il nostro è stato un pranzo come si deve, pur se ci siamo goduti, in un piatto unico, patate arrosto, pancetta e uovo in cereghino, ossia una pietanza semplice che abbiamo accompagnato con birra alla spina, per poi chiudere con un caffé affogato, ossia un espresso con dentro nel bicchiere una pallina di gelato alla vaniglia. Siamo stati sulla bellissima terrazza del ristorante e siamo stati bene. Servizio molto cortese, se ripasseremo dal Resciesa, sappiamo dove eventualmente pranzare o fare merenda.
