È il terzo ristorante stellato che proviamo, dopo un tre e un due stelle. Devo dire che questo ristorante si è difeso egregiamente, anche in relazione a quanto pagato. Piatti ottimi e menù degustazione ricco, siamo usciti satolli. Nota di merito al pairing di vini che tra i tre stellati provati è stato quello più ricercato e particolare. Eccezionale la pasta e ceci con calamari, è nelle cose semplici che si vede la mano dello chef.

Siamo venuti per affari e abbiamo provato il percorso degustazione Santi. Abbiamo assaggiato alcuni delle migliori e più originali creazioni. La fama di questo locale è ben riposta anche e soprattutto per i dolci, in particolare la pastiera che è stata nominata dolce dell’anno da Michelin. Consigliato ci torneremo.

We came on business and tried the Santi tasting route. We tasted some of the best and most original creations. The fame of this place is also and above all well placed for its desserts, in particular the pastiera which was named dessert of the year by Michelin. Recommended we will be back.

Beautiful experience. Beautiful, elegant, clean and refined place. Impeccable service, waiters always present and available, Raffaele very good at explaining each course to us and Salvatore equally good at helping us choose the wine. The best thing is that it is a formal environment, but you always feel at ease with all the people who work in the room. Other times in other restaurants of the same level we felt almost out of place in too serious environments! As for the food, it was a flavor experience that we will hardly forget. We chose the 6-course Santi menu which left us super full at the end of dinner. We'll be back to try the Leoni menu, freely interpreted by the chef (who also came to thank us at the table at the end of the evening). In short, this is how you do catering! Very fair prices

We are in the second ten days of October and we are at the end of this starry 2024. At present, we can write that Re Santi e Leoni is among the top five of my starred restaurants this year. Indeed, for precision on the gold podium. The day was cheered for us by the sommelier Salvatore Matarazzo, where I again congratulate him for the recognition obtained, and by Raffaele. Menu of the day LEONI 🦁, an extremely interesting tasting journey, infinite for all courses and which fully embodies the chef's vision. Salvatore also made us appreciate unexpected wines, a 2008 goat cheese offered to us in blind tasting, a riesling from Valtellina, and a wonderful Etna red. Dish of the day scampi and lard with three different fig preparations, not least the piadina with seared tuna belly, wakame seaweed, green chillies, wasabi mayonnaise and toasted sesame seeds and raw, pan-fried porcini mushrooms and porcini powders 😍😍😍 Should we go back??? Absolutely yes to try the other two tasting menus and the à la carte menu.

I was here for dinner for my birthday with my girlfriend and I must say it was a fantastic experience. We chose a 6-course menu with wine pairing. Each course was a discovery of flavors and combinations of raw materials and wine. Very nice place, clean in lines and with its double height it expands the feeling of spaciousness. A special thank you to Raffaele and Salvatore who guided us with great care on this journey. I recommend it.

One of my few "conflicted" reviews, because at the end of the evening I couldn't determine whether the experience was positive or not. Let's start with the venue: a sober, clean, modern environment, I like it. The separation between the tables is sufficient. The staff: I have more than a few doubts, they are kind but do not seem to be sufficiently knowledgeable about the composition of the dishes, a few smiles of circumstance at the considerations and nothing more, they are clearly young, they will have the opportunity to improve. Regarding the cuisine: "if a good morning starts in the morning"... I would have liked to say, because the entrée pleasantly surprised me, tasty, sufficiently elaborate, a nice business card for the Chef... but then it was a "up and down". It's about my personal taste, the ingredients taken one by one were of clear quality, it's the balance of flavors that left me very perplexed: you can see how the flavors are very strong, but here we go well beyond the explosion of the senses, at least according to my taste, the acidity is present and very marked in every dish, probably a distinctive sign of the Chef, which unfortunately however does not completely meet my palate. I like the idea of ​​the menu in the dark, I love surprises, but there are people who don't like the unknown, and there is no alternative for tasting menus, I would revisit this aspect. In summary: the ideas are pleasant and imaginative, the raw materials are of absolute excellence, it is the whole that left a bit of a bitter taste (acid) in my mouth: I liked some things, others were really difficult to evaluate. 4 stars, precisely because of the initial premise: I didn't fully understand the Chef, I don't feel like criticizing dishes that have an idea, maybe I'll have to try again.
